Help with home office

Looking to better orient my home office. I work from home twice a week + spend a decent amount of off time at my desk so I want to make it as functional and comfortable as possible. Currently feel like being between the desk and couch is kinda tight and the room doesn't feel very unified, which is probably due the furniture being a mishmash of things acquired over the last decade.

The couch is also a pull out for guests which is a bit tight in the current configuration (have to raise the desk to get the bed out) but that's very infrequent. In reality it's primarily a cat bed now hence the old quilt and heating pad.

I also would like to get rid of the old plastic drawers (next to the desk and under the printer) for something nicer that can be a filing cabinet/storage/shelves type piece (maybe a dark wood to match the desk? Or is that too much wood with floors too?

Few other thoughts

- Need to get a real lamp/lighting set up the desk lamp I have is very cold/harsh light

- The container tub on the floor is cat food and can be moved

- The cat tower and fountain do need to stay in this room currently

- Considering bringing the PC onto the desk and getting rid of the side table and maybe moving the cat tree next to desk so they can sit above and stop going on the PC itself (doubtful knowing them)

- the closed door is a closet that is currently pretty stuffed

- The window is south facing if that's helpful

Thanks for any and all advice and ideas!
