How ridiculous does this look in my tiny living room?

Just bought this Lovesac and can still return it. Re the two colors, I’m deciding between them (one is velvet and the other chenille) so wanted to compare. I plan to order the side pillows but I want to wait and make sure I’m keeping it first.

The couch is massive in our 12x11 living room. That said, its size makes it really comfortable. I’m really conflicted about the aesthetics vs the ease/comfort.

Would also be open to alternatives (ideally I’d be thrilled if I could make this look great, just not sure if that’s possible). The problem is that our door is only 28 inches wide, so we can’t fit a majority of sofas that aren’t modular (no windows big enough either). I have looked at so many sofas and so many color swatches these past few months that my head is spinning and I could use some outside perspective.

The last photo is my cute dining area. I would love to make the living room side feel just as nice.

Thoughts?

Large Wall at front entrance to house? Leave it or lose it? Replace with something else?

Upon entering my house, there is a large divider type door when you first walk in. It does create a nice divide in that it separates the main entrance space from the huge living space around. We are thinking of removing it all together though since it is rather old and doesn’t exactly fit the aesthetic we’re going for. Any ideas on what we can put instead? We considered a slat wall so you can see our backyard upon entering but not sure if it makes sense. We’re also considering a banquette with table and sitting on the other side (not front entrance side) to make use of the wall being there.

Please note the post in the middle of the room holding it up IS loadbearing so if we remove it, that post would have to stay there. Either awkwardly or with something around it 😅

What color should I paint my bathroom walls after removing the wallpaper? I love the green tile but I don't know what would look best with it. Also is there anything else that would freshen it up while still keeping its charm?

I feel like it’s sad looking in here and it’s tiny which doesn’t help

Please help with my room

hi i’m a teenager and im really trying to make my room nice since i haven’t done anything to it in a while so im wondering what i should add or move , im thinking led lights new blinds of course some posters and then i have some vines but let me know what else you think would help improve my room to look nicer. ifyou have any ideas let me know, thanks!

What color rug should I get for my living room?

Furnishing my apartment from nothing and I’d like to get a rug before my couch is delivered. I’d like my space to look light and airy, but also a bit edgy im not a big fan of sad beige aesthetic. I thought maybe a dusty mauve / blush but thought it might lean a bit too Barbie’s dream house.

I prefer a solid rug or something with minimal pattern. My couch is a distressed velvet in the color sand.

Attached are photos of my space and the couch I have coming, as well as some inspo photos.

Any help is very much appreciated! I’ll take any advice, coffee table, art, anything lol thank you so much ! I’m clueless.

Where would you put a TV?

Please help us! It’s been 5 years since we moved in, and we’re very ready to stop watching everything on an iPad 😅

Things to note:

- We have really nice views out every window in this room and turning the couch away from them would feel kind of criminal?
- The wind rips here sometimes (often), so there would be some concern with the possibility of a TV blowing off of the wall to the left of the front door. Personally, I’m not opposed to giving it a shot
- We loooove the sectional but would be open to getting different furniture if it made sense to do so

Thanks a million!

How can we make our living room better?

I know the sofa and table are too big for the room but it is not possible to change them.

Any ideas to improve?

Does having a matching set like this look bad/outdated?

I’d like to get this loveseat for my front reception but I’m also looking for an ottoman too and wondering if I should get the matching one or if that gives the overly dated matching furniture look.

There will also be an off white two seater linen sofa in the room, and a Persian rug.

This is much more difficult than I thought

My girlfriend (23F) and I (24M) are moving in together in a few weeks to this beautiful place.

We don't have much money, time, or imagination, and we're struggling a lot with the layout.

We need at least a table, a sofa, and a TV. A cozy spot to sit and read next to the fireplace would be amazing, but there probably isn't enough space for that.

Next to the window there's a shelf/niche built into the wall with space for a light, lots of potential there!

I'm sharing some layout ideas we've been considering. The red dot marks where the TV cable is, and the blue dot marks the internet cable for the router.

Idk what to do with this weird closet ?

I’m not sure how to make the best use of this weird shelving at the back of my closet.
I’m also thinking about taking out the shoe rack on the left side of my closet, I don’t plan to put shoes there ever, but very open to ideas on what to do with it haha.
I have rave clothes/accesories also ..
I guess looking for tips on how to make it look better and utilize the shelving. I am awful at organizing because I don’t know how to do it properly and then I just give up lol
TIA.

Entryway help

Really could use some help of what to put in this entry way. Second picture is the room it opens into.

There is an outlet on the left side so could do like a table with lamp there and then that’s the laundry room on the right.

Maybe some tall skinny plants by the column on right and directly across.

The floors are terazzo if that makes a difference.

Thanks!!
