Does having a matching set like this look bad/outdated?

I’d like to get this loveseat for my front reception but I’m also looking for an ottoman too and wondering if I should get the matching one or if that gives the overly dated matching furniture look.

There will also be an off white two seater linen sofa in the room, and a Persian rug.

Family home - Herne Hill vs Clapham South vs East Dulwich

Sorry for adding to all of the location posts, would be open to a thread if there was one.

Early 30s, budget £1.5M.

Looking to stop renting and find the place to settle down and have a couple of kids. My partner works remotely 3 days a week in the office in the City, I work near London Bridge.

Looking south as that’s where most of our friendship group are based now and these areas look the most promising but I don’t know them that well.

Looking for good sized houses in our budget with access to green spaces, clean streets, community feel but good transport for when we still want to go out centrally. Good nurseries and state schools for primary and secondary are a plus as probably going that route.

The tube in Clapham is a draw but that makes it feel busier. Conversely I like Herne Hill but not that keen on Camberwell next door. East Dulwich has a nice village-y feel but a lot of housing isn’t that close to a train station.

Anyone living in one of these areas with a young family/planning it who could weigh in?
