I’m 26, and I’ve noticed something interesting about my attraction preferences over the years.
In my late teens and early twenties, I was mostly attracted to older women. But sometime around 25, that completely flipped. Now I find myself way more attracted to women who are younger than me, usually around 2-5 years younger, and I’m barely attracted to older women at all, especially 30+.
There’s something about a woman being younger than me that seems to trigger a stronger instinctive attraction, and I can’t fully explain why. That said, I wouldn’t reject a genuinely good woman just because she’s 27 or older, it’s just not naturally where my attraction leans anymore.
I guess I’m wondering: is this normal? Have any other men experienced this shift as they got older?
Part of me feels superficial for thinking this way, even though I’m not trying to disrespect anyone. I’m curious whether this is just a natural change in preferences or if I’m overthinking it.
