Im building my first SaaS product and am having some internal conflict that im hoping this community can help me with. For context, this is a financial analysis/insight/budgeting product.

I started out by doing market research, finding an edge, and scoping an MVP around that edge. However, due to the nature of being a finance product, the MVP grew really large.

In order to compete with existing products, building things like Plaid integration, Stripe billing, monthly summaries, digest emails, usable dashboard and spending by category seemed essential as every other product had those. Now im working on building the features that make my product unique and am about half way done with those.

My question is, I've been at this for over a month now and am not making progress as quickly as anticipated, do I need to adjust my MVP to get something out the door sooner? I keep seeing everyone talk about shipping fast and getting user feedback but is that worth it if I dont have my market edge features fully built? Would it be false advertising if I didnt have all the features in MVP that were listed on my waitlist page?

Im worried that im waiting too long to get to market but at the same time I dont want to ship something that people dont find useful.
