AITA am I the asshole friend 1 and 2
so this is regarding my 2 friends - lets call them friend one and friend two .
friend 1 - is sometimes overconfident and speaks often in an unkind tone however the vast majority of us know that she doesn't mean it
friend 2 - very sensitive , is the only person that doesn't understand friend 1's sarcasm
so starting from a few weeks ago friend one came into my friend group after we had originally had a friend group divide . everything was pretty normal but we all know that friend 1 and 2 do not like each other . friend 1 started telling us all of the things that the people that we had fallen out with had said and friend 1 said they didnt say anything but we all knew she had done prior to returning to our friend group . friend 2 had been saying that she doesn't trust friend one at all and that shed rather the friend group without her . friend one started being progressively more mean towards friend two and friends two began to do it back , everything seemed like friendly bicker however friend 2 did not take it that way and decided she had had enough of friend one and didnt want anything to do with her but still wanted to be in our friend group . she said that she wasn't going to do anything with us if friend one was there and I said that I think that they should both accept that they dont like each other and carry on with life and she sent me a voice note crying that she couldn't bear being near her because she tries to be nice but friend one won't reciprocate that - this is not entirely true coming from somebody who watches snd hears info from both sides . I said well just don't talk to each other because things were clearly going on between them and after speaking to friend 1 and she said she didn't feel she was. being mean and that friend 2 should just get over it and stop being dramatic things did not work out at all. so currently friend two is sobbing and friend one doesnt know about anything that has been said tonight
honestly I dont know who to side with because ive been best friends with them for years and its difficult to chose between them when there are points that both support and go against the both of them . who is the ass whole - friend one - somebody that isn't always the nicest but doesn't do it maliciously or friend two - somebody who cant always take a joke
