Decorating our space for the first time and I need help.

We just moved into our first house and are in the process of unpacking and decorating. This pendant light is a family heirloom from my husband and is very special to us both, however our lights in the kitchen now clash with it and I am wondering what would look best. There are three above the breakfast bar and one above the kitchen sink. Would more stained glass look cool or is that too much? Rattan lights?

I also want to swap out our old dark furniture, the TV console, side table and a trunk that's out of frame for something else. There's a dog door behind the current TV console that we intend for our dogs to use once the yard gets the TLC it needs. So I was thinking of doing a live edge or some kind of floating shelf.

I just need options for storage if I swap out all of these pieces. I know we just moved in and all of this will take time, but I seriously lack the design and style traits. We've been living bachelor pads for last 8 years and now we're finally settling into a home/town permanently and I want to style it to be our own.

Thank you for taking the time to help and offer advice!
