The ONLY thing rendering is my rough animation, no matter what I've tried! (Blender Version 4.4.3)
My project showing that the \"rough\" animation is disabled in render.
This is the only thing that renders despite all I have tried
I'm learning how to use grease pencil to animate a 2D animated show with my friends. After watching many tutorials, I learned that putting your rough animation pass in a separate object from your finished line art can help lessen the amount of layers you have to deal with.
After finishing the rough anim, I created a new blank grease pencil object and eventually finished the line work and coloring. I went to render it so that I could have a reference to paint a background for but the only thing I'm seeing in the output is the rough animation object.
The rough animation is set not to render in the scene outliner, while my finished animation is set to render. Despite that, it does not render at all. This is the second animation test I've done and the previous one did not have this problem despite following the same process.
I tried enabling z-pass as some videos suggested, but it didn't change the outcome. I'm not entirely sure how that is supposed to help so maybe there was something else I was meant to do?
However, in the previous test I did, z-pass was disabled and I faced no problems rendering.
I want to render ONLY the "buzz" grease pencil object.
I have tried everything I could think of: I re-enabled and disabled rendering for that object, moved it to a different collection, and even out right deleted the rough animation object. I also tried opening the project in blender 5.0 but it was still not working. The only thing that has worked to far is creating a brand new scene and copying over "Buzz" but I'm the type of person that NEEDS to know what went wrong so I can fix it in the future, but I just can't figure it out.
I'm using all the default settings that are applied when you open a 2D animation preset as far as I'm aware.
