Chance me for UM Biotechnology ( International A-level applicant)

Hi everyone, I wanted to ask about my chances of getting into UM Biotechnology. I currently have A-level predicted grades of AAB and AS results of BBB. I’m also a bit worried because if things don’t go as planned, my final A-level results could end up being ABB or even BBB instead of my predicted grades. How much do you think that would affect my chances?

Also, I’ll only be submitting my official final results in August, so UM can’t give me an offer right now. Does applying with predicted grades and submitting official results later reduce my chances, or is that pretty normal for A-level applicants?

Would appreciate any opinions or experiences, thanks!

Anyone Applying to UM October 2026 Intake? Worried About Late Results & Visa Timeline

Hey everyone,

I’m looking for some advice regarding my application to University of Malaya for the October 2026 intake (Biotechnology).

I applied back in February, and I recently received a reply from the admissions office saying that my application is still under review because I’m currently completing my A Levels. They asked me to submit my final official results once they’re released in August 2026.

For context:
- AS Level results: BBB
- Predicted grades: AAB
- I already uploaded my predicted grades along with the senate letter they requested during the application process.

What’s making me anxious is the timeline. My final results only come out on 14 August 2026, while the intake starts in October. If I do get accepted, I’d still need to arrange my student visa, accommodation, travel, and other documents in a really short amount of time.

I’m honestly confused about what I should do at this point. Has anyone here gone through something similar with UM or other Malaysian universities? Did everything still get processed in time?

I’m also wondering why they don’t issue conditional offers/conditional LoAs first, since that would at least give applicants some certainty and more time to prepare.
Would really appreciate any advice or experiences 🙏

▲ 1 r/PCOS

Hi everyone,

I was recently diagnosed with PCOS and I’m still trying to learn what I should be doing and what to expect going forward.

My doctor recommended that I start taking myo-inositol + D-chiro-inositol (with folic acid) — the brand they suggested is Ovacure. They advised avoiding hormonal medications for now since I’m still a teenager.

I wanted to ask if anyone here has experience with inositol:

  • Did it help regulate your cycle or improve symptoms?
  • How long did it take to notice changes?
  • Any side effects?

Also, if you have any general advice for someone newly diagnosed with PCOS, I’d really appreciate it.

Thanks so much!
