Found in NW Ohio
My brother sent me these pictures and I have no clue.
These were found under some vinca and ivy vines that are located under some lilac bushes and near a red bud.
Some were buried and some were on top of the soil.
He stated that he lightly stepped on one and that it didn’t break easily and was slightly squishy. Also they seemed to be connected by very fine white roots.
I asked him to cut one open and those pictures are also seen. He said he didn’t feel “safe” smelling it so unsure of that.
Any help is greatly appreciated. This is my first post so thank you for looking.
