Is my chain supposed to rub against the top of my rubber chain guard?

It has grooves in it from the friction, and when I accelerate or maintain a steady throttle while cruising I can hear the chain whirring even over my Cardo and NO BAFFLE RACE AKRA. The wheel is aligned, new chain and sprockets were installed by my local dealer, and everything that the chain could/would make contact with has been cleaned.

I may be crazy but I feel like this sound started immediately after I power washed my bike (my friend told me he always does it and it's safe)

A question for those of you with a 25+ quickshifter.

This is something I noticed recently with my 2026 quickshifter. Do you have rotational play here as well? I occasionally have extraordinarily funky shifts, the other night my front wheel came up with a 2-3 QS. Aside from that it seems to usually function fine and nothing is loose. 4-5k miles on it since install.

One of my left hand nuts was missing so I had to get a non OEM one. It is not the same size and I am curious if anybody here knows the official size.

My chain is kinked and I need a new one. I want to take this opportunity to go 520 and up a tooth in the front for highway and country rides.

If anybody here has already done this sprocket change on a 25+ what chain size did you use and were there any additional modifications you had to do?

What length chain have you guys used in previous generations?

Edit: Would it possibly be more convenient for me to go 40T in the rear? I am planning to do this myself if I don't have to snap a chain or grind anything down.
