So I'm taking my daily to a smash repairer tomorrow morning for a damage assessment quote for the insurer. I'm about 98% sure it's going to be a write-off. The car is still drivable, just the visible damage on the quarter panel, tailgate, bumper/rear deck.

Now because this is my first time having a car accident that is a little more then cosmetic, because it's drivable would I be driving it home after the assessment? If so, how does car removal work if it is declared a write-off? Just genuinely curious on the process.

For insight of the accident, I was stopped at a red light and was rear ended by a HiAce. No idea what speed they hit me at
