LHP J.D. Thompson (High A Wisconsin) makes BP Monday Morning Ten Pack
The Brewers have another interesting LHP in their system — Baseball Prospectus had Thompson as 12th best prospect in the system with a potential mid-rotation ceiling if some things break right, due to outlier fastball analytics.
Today, BP had a scouting look on Thompson, who is now flagged as a potential midseason “pop up” arm. His fastball is playing up, and now he has three spinning looks he’s working on for different purposes (from 1-to-7 to sweeper to hard slider).
Very curious to watch the end of the season for Thompson following injury.
