Is no one selling (and buying) the Rebel 1100 manual transmission?

So I am in the market for a used rebel 1100. I want the manual transmission without DCT.

When I look at the used marketplace ( cycle trader, auto trader, Facebook marketplace) I only see the DCT models (at least in the 200 miles around my town (Iowa). I looked at the 200 mile radius around Chicago aswell, and 95% of those were DCT.

That raises a few question:

  1. Are 1100 rebel manual transmission no longer desired by buyers?

  2. Is the 1100 manual transmission so great that owners are not willing to sell.

  3. Is it better to just get a new one from the dealer instead of waiting for a 2020+ rebel (manual) to show up on the used market?

Any feedback/ guidance is much appreciated.

Recommendation for eye doctor for toddler eye checkup.

As the title suggests, looking for a good place who are good at performing eye checkup for a 4 year old energetic boy.

Places in Cedar Rapids and neighboring suburbs preferred.

But if you know of any in Iowa City that are the best please do recommend.

I am hoping the eye doctor can help diagnose any issues like myopia early on in my kid and can prescribe a course of corrective actions.

Mechanic recommendation for Engine issues CR/Marion

My 2008 Honda Accord just got a steady Check engine Light on the dash.

Got the error codes and seems related to Camshaft timing solenoid. I usually go to ASE In CR NE, but they are booked out for some time. Could someone please recommend another honest mechanic/repair shop that is good with engines especially Honda/Asian make cars?

Any place having the World Cup Final watch party on Sunday?

I know Big Grove had the USA watch parties, but not sure if they still have it for the Final. Also other options (Bare/restaurants) that you are aware who will stream the Final are much appreciated.

Car Inspection

What place would you recommend for getting an old Honda Accord (closing in on 20 years) inspected?

The car is nearing 200k miles. The last inspection I had was in a Tuffy's when I bought it.

For the most part the car has held up really well in the 8 years I have owned it. I had some recent car trouble with a broken front axle (wear and tear).

I am hoping to get a thorough and honest inspection of the car to avoid troubles on the road, especially during winter weather.

I have heard that Firestone and other chain shops try to upsell so will mostly avoid those.
