I ship out for the Army in May of next year, so I went and bought myself something fun to drive around until then. It’s a ‘17 Pursuit package with the 5.7L and I freakin adore this thing. Can’t stop looking back at her.

I’m 18, saved my money up (10k) and started looking around for some cheap camaros (my plan was to work my way up to an 2012 SS in the Bumblebee colors, my dream car as I’m a HUGE Bumblebee and Transformers fan). BUT I found a used one if my DREAM CAR, for 10k that was literally everything I was looking for in my absolute dream car with the Bumblebee colors and the SS package premium audio, etc etc. I worked with the guy at the dealership for a good solid week, and on my way to the dealership to BUY THE CAR, they sold it out from under me. Before finding that one I didn’t even expect to see any SS camaros in my price range, but after losing that opportunity I found that there are many that are just so close yet so far from my maximum budget. How have you guys managed to save for the car you really wanted without settling and jumping on the first opportunity that’s in your price range?
Edit: I should probably add that the ONLY reason I’m even putting thought towards this type of car in the first place is because I’m shipping out for the Army next May. I’m fresh out of highschool and work full time, about $18 an hour 35-40 hours a week. Thanks for the insight so far!
