Where do you have your lunch if you are working at MBFC/Asia Square/Marina One?

If you are working in the Marina Bay business district, could you recommend some good and reasonably priced lunch places that you usually go to? It can be restaurants or food courts serving Chinese, Western, Japanese, Korean, Muslim, or Indonesian food.
Also, do you usually prefer having lunch alone or with your colleagues? What time do you usually go for lunch?
Previously, my office was at Raffles Place and everything was so convenient. Whenever I wanted lunch or coffee, I could just head downstairs and get what I wanted within 5-10 minutes. But over at the Marina Bay business district, it feels less convenient and the food choices seem more limited or maybe you need to walk quite a bit further for more options. What do you think?

For those working in MNCs, I’m sure many of you are now in

open-concept offices, where individual cubicles are replaced with open concept working desks and lockers for personal belongings. Do you enjoy this setup?

Personally, I don’t. It feels like there’s little to no privacy, even something as simple as checking my phone feels exposed, and it often seems like everyone can see each other’s screens. It really feels like zero privacy.

I actually prefer having my own cubicle, it’s something I would genuinely look forward to when coming to work. What about you?

At the moment, I have my ideal workspace: a desk with proper partitions and plenty of cabinets for my own use, which gives me a good sense of privacy. So now I’m wondering, if my next opportunity is with my dream company but comes with an open-concept or hot-desking environment, should I compromise?

If I only have a few days of annual leave left, I prioritise interviews that truly matter to me. There are a few dream companies I’m very keen to join, even though I know they are highly competitive and difficult to get into. Not Tech. For example, I interviewed with Company A last March but was not successful. This year, I was fortunate to be shortlisted again, this time for a different role, under a different department and hiring manager. I had been hoping for another opportunity and when the interview invitation came last week, I felt it was something I shouldn’t pass up. Although I am aware that the chances may be slim, especially with over 100 applicants competing for the same position, I am still willing to use my annual leave for this opportunity. The company aligns with my career goals and I am drawn to its environment, office setting, and location. To me, that makes the opportunity worth pursuing, regardless of the odds. Ultimately, when deciding which interviews justify using annual leave, How would you decide which opportunity is worth using your annual leave for, especially when the chances are low?
