Hello. I will give a brief description of exactly what I am doing as I am looking for advice.

I am screen recording in OBS to MKV file format with multiple audio channels. I record the Screen Display, as Game capture did not give me enough quality. I also record the game audio output, Discord output, and mic output to separate tracks. I am then importing into Resolve. Then, I will edit, largely unwanted sound bits, add some titles, and export to MP4.

Currently, I have followed guides and suggestions to work with the following output.
Recording 1920x1080P, 60 FPS.
Resolve Export:
MP4, H265, bitrate 45k constrained bitrate.

My 1.5 hour video that looks great from OBS, balloons to a much larger file (lets say 6Gigs to 14Gigs) The video is acceptable quality, but there is SOME loss, but of course once I upload to YouTube, the quality degrades slightly.

The primary issue I have, is artificing during motion events where it loses its crispness, and lighting seems to be lack luster, which I suspect is primarily from the compression and lack of crispness.

I get mixed info online regarding the bitrate, with some people saying to use a much higher bitrate to force Youtube to use better codecs. Alternatively, in my experience, the more something needs to be compressed, the more loss it will experience. In my mind, my Mp4 should be lossless from the MKV and the same size roughly.

Any suggestions on how to improve my workflow or steps I am missing?

I'm not looking for the answer to all my problems, just what I should try next if I'm heading in the wrong direction.
