Curb for the first time - initial thoughts

Longgggg time Seinfeld fan but I’ve never watched Curb. Am now up to Season 6 ish… I think my fav episode so far is the swan killer… And Bob Einstein is probably the best character (although there are so many great characters).

Okay, back to Curb 🤣

What would you do? Work advice on a good but underpaid job (Teaching)

In a situation where I love my job (teaching), it’s fun, varying in the types of work I do and I enjoy the students. My immediate bosses are lovely, caring and not micro-managy. However, it’s severely underpaid compared to other positions at my level (I have benchmarked it against similar roles at different institutions and it’s about +20k less per year if not more. EDIT: to put it in context, it’s so low that it’s actually what I was getting paid as a new grad in a public hospital a few years out of University.

There is no pay progression, no career progression and the wage increases ’occasionally’ every few years by 1-2%.

(My colleague and I are on the same pay even though she is 20 years my senior and much more knowledge than I am).

The flip side, there is the potential to progress with my own business (I’m in a health-based niche), and I’ve had clients ongoing but not at the rate I’d need to supplement my current wage.

Would you have a crack at your own thing, or, stay in the job that is good, but pay is bad.

All thoughts/opinions are welcome.
