Another new Scottish roaster for me to try
Am very intrigued by the Burundi with the cherry cola & Jaffa cake notes

I forgot how good this tasted

Nothing fancy just really nice choc ice flavour with some caramel sauce drizzled down the sides

Bought some coffee for my friend to enjoy. She loves a cold brew especially in this weather - can we have regular weather back plz 😂

Goatherd Coffee were doing a deal - 200gm of beans / ground espresso or cafetière ground plus 10 drip bags with free tracked 24 postage for £15

Have always had consistently good coffee from them. I’m in their founders club so get 500gm delivered monthly and always tracked 24 postage

First we have Cofaidgh box which gave me my local roaster Rise & Grind. We have abercorn blend and eagle mogiana. This is a Scottish 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 roasters subscription box. Also included was up up chocolate

Next we have goatherd coffee founders club which is a Kenya Handege Peaberry

Then we have my cheeky ginger cat aptly named Loki with coffee from Purresso - copycat blend and the limited edition tuxedo cat. ( my friend wanted this because cats & coffee)

Last but not least my Gustatory box. I didn't get skylark (did anyone and what did you get?) I didn’t get Australian Market lane and Prolog coffees

All the coffees smell amazing 😃😃

Got coffee and some ground coffee for my friend I promise it’s not for me, I have enough and my gustatory has shipped so I’ll get that tomorrow 😂

My friend likes a cold brew and decided to go for some coffee - I don’t know if my grinder on my jet grinds coarse enough for cold brew for her hario jug thingy

Love the new fancy tins for the coffee that Sam made for us. It’s plastic “tins” with metal top. It’s different from your regular takeaway cups

The primavera smells amazing. I do like the semi clear packaging. Haar do a similar thing with their bags of coffee too

Haven’t opened the finca box so can’t really smell the coffee but I’m sure it will smell amazing

Meet Betty 2

New coffee for Betty is pathfinder from origin - had the last of the tilted coffee from Glasgow coffee festival tasting box and I really liked that one - was a red honey Guatemala

Having as an iced latte
Double shot espresso
150gm milk
110gm ice
1/2 pump of caramel syrup

Tasting notes of orange , raspberry & ginger - can definitely taste the ginger at the end after a nice sweetness

Don’t see this bag lasting long as it’s iced latte weather ( for me ) and I’d rather a nice iced latte than a hot one. Having ice machine definitely helps haha

Also I sorted my coffee shelf as well into some sort of order too.

One of my friends sent me the link on fb and I was wondering if anyone has tried them?

She sent me it because I love coffee and have (4) cats and it does sound interesting

Yes I know it’s early - last Xmas my friend got me some Jamaican blue mountain from coffee bean shop and I loved it.
She got me around 5 bags of coffee including their Xmas blend and a Mount Everest one

Hoping I get a bag this year again 😂

Think I need to invest in a grinder because I just put the whole lot in my hopper and a 250gm bag lasts around 2 and half days and if I get it again I want it to be a treat! I imagine it would go very very well with some mossgiel organic milk

Cracked open the second bag from coffi.lab - really delicious. Think this one is my favourite! ( Wee Skye is my guide dog )

Also did something a bit different, we made Scottish tablet last night and I thought coffee tablet could be interesting…

Wee bit of gamble but added double shot of espresso near the end… it actually works.

First you get a subtle coffee flavour followed by the sweetness of the tablet - delicious 😋

Would you try this? You do need a sweet tooth for tablet 😂

So I found some old pictures from almost a year ago … my friend watches a lot of stuff on TikTok ( not me ) and she saw about doing espresso into irn bru - she had me make it for her and she actually liked it…..

Has anyone else tried it 😂

So my coffee machine went away to be fixed 2 weeks ago yesterday ( the grind issue on the sage oracle jet something about the VR A) and I had to resort to the backup machine which is getting binned cos it’s annoyed me - do not get a ninja luxe machine ( this is the 3rd machine before I jumped to sage )

Anyhoo I’m only able to pull shots , can’t use the steam wand so thankfully it’s been warm enough to enjoy iced lattes here in scotland without being too cold

I do like this local roaster Rise & Grind , I like this Burundi and I also like the huncheon and Los osos the bears. More your classic comforting flavours but still nice in between my cofaidgh and gustatory subscriptions.

The owner Sam , is very helpful too , always has time for a chat when you visit the roastery to buy a drink or beans
