I've read a number of posts here about options for transferring a Fido eSIM from an old phone to a new phone. I have not seen any posts address the following scenario, so I'm hoping someone here has some experience.
I have an iPhone 14 Pro with a Fido eSIM and a BYOP plan. I am thinking of upgrading to a new iPhone 17 Pro. I would be looking to buy the new iPhone from the Apple Store and take advantage of a trade-in for my current iPhone.
My understanding of the Apple trade-in process is that I would need to backup my old phone, do a factory reset, and then bring it to the Apple Store where they will take as trade-in and sell me a new iPhone.
With that process, I would not have the opportunity to migrate the Fido eSIM from the old iPhone to the new iPhone.
Does anyone have guidance or experience with this scenario?
