In 40k worth of debt, but brother is jobless and don't have money to pay mortgage .

I have a dilemma, I'm in 40k worth of debt and its from one card. I make about 140k a year . I have a plan to be able to pay it off fairly quickly. My only problem is my brother , he got in a wreck 6 months ago and lost his job . His house payment is 970 a month. He is also a single father as well . As of right now I'm paying it but it's taking away from me paying down my debt . Unbeknownst to me I did not realize he had exhausted his forbearance and the house has plumbing issues so he can't sell it. Even ,if he sold he has nowhere to go. Another problem is , if I loan him the money, theres no guarantee it will come back . What should I do ?

If you are the generation that finally start to see success. Would it bother you if 2 generations from now. All the kids were white and lived off your success ?

Last night I watched an interview with Diana Ross and it got me to thinking, " with so many black ppl marrying outside when they become successful? Won't the wealth cycle out of the community?" Which I ask , do anyone else see the same pattern in their own family ? Does it bother anyone ?I'm not sure what to think.
