Love, like
Did you know the difference about love and like?
Love is a strong word. It means loving your partner, for example. Loving someone in a romantic sense. But like is much more powerful. It means liking someone as a whole. As a person, not just a romantic interest or partner. Liking someone's everything. Like is always more genuine and strong than love.
Loving is messy. It's filled with jealousy, heartbreak, toxicity and so many other things. You can fall out of love. You can destroy someone while loving them.
Like is unconditional. It's gentle. It's seeing every flaw someone has, all the sharp and jagged edges, all the anger and sadness and anxiety one can have and still loving them.
I have always wished for you to like me.
But you don't even love me.
