Ok. I've been rereading (listening, thanks jeff) book 7 and thinking about Samantha. The running theory that Samantha is the scavenger/scavenger's daughter/scolopendra is good and I agree with most of it. The splitting theory is also good. But my addition to it is that Samantha is the mother, daughter, and holy centipede.
