I was telling my wife a few days ago that I wish I had a DCC stcker for my car. I used her car to take our daughters to dance class yeaterday and came back to this. I love it.
In the hardback of book 2 (Carl's Doomsday Scenario) on page 7 in the description of the NecroBard class it says "A 10% mana cost penalty on all non-Necromancer or non-Bard spells." The audiobook omits "non" in both of those.
Not a big deal, just surprised that I couldn't find any mention of the mistake online.
And before anyone says it. Yes, I am acoustic.

So I'm locked in, somewhere in the mid-90 chapters, listening to the audio book. Had to go to the bathroom, as one does. I'm sitting there doing my business, totally lost in a speech by the AI, and the power to my house cuts out suddenly. Do you know how terrifying it is to suddenly be in complete darkness with the AI monologuing menacingly in your ear while so vulnerable? I don't recommend it. But 10/10 for this book

My husband got this pen custom engraved for me as a gift. I doubt the author whose name starts with M will ever see this post, but if he did, I believe he’d get a good chuckle 😂.
And in the event that he does come across this post…I want you to know how much your books have meant to me. The past year or more has been ass; life has been hit after hit and I struggled a lot. Carl and Donut healed me in a way nothing else could, little by little, a comforting balm on a crushed heart. I am so grateful that you decided to share their story with us. Love you dearly, thank you so much ❤️
P.S- my tortie, named Princess Zelda, is also very spunky and dramatic. She thinks the pen is an outrage 🤷♀️
The ban on talking about Book 8 outside of the dedicated megathread, which was originally slated to be one month long, is instead ending this Friday, May 22nd. Thursday will be the last day where book 8 posts are removed. This policy worked in the past, but there are just too dang many of you. The megathread has gotten unwieldy, and y'all deserve a better way of talking about the batshit insanity that Matt just injected into our earholes and eyeballs.
Before anyone complains about this ending early: this edict comes directly from the bossman himself. We will continue taking book 8 posts down for the next two days, but after that it'll be fair game.

So yeah, thank you. I don't normally post things like this, but also I've never experienced anything like this before.
Over the last 6 months I've had personal, professional and financial challenges that have really taken it out of me. So the last few weeks I've taken off work and just had time to myself.... Most of which I've spent reading DCC and lurking here. So I thought it was time to post.
I've never fully understood when people say how much a book, movie, TV show, etc has helped them.... But I get it now. This community surrounding such an incredible series has really been my lifeline recently. I attended the DCC show in Birmingham (UK) and someone there thanked Matt and Jeff for how DCC had helped their friend though some hard times and I've been thinking about that a lot since.
To create something so incredibly powerful that it has positively impacted so many people's lives, simply by existing, has got to be the greatest thing anyone as achieve imo. And you guys have done it! And for that we are all thankful and you should be so so proud!
The books themselves have been a wonderful escape, they've helped me rediscover reading as a past time, helped me feel emotions outside of my own tunnel vision of personal life, and given me something to look forward to each and every day.
This community filled with such passion, joy and love for a shared amazing interest has helped me see so much talent in fan art, imagination of theories and has given me something to talk to loved ones about since they've seen my own joy they have decided to read the books also.

Side note - I like to collect stickers on my toolbox at work so if anyone has any art they have created (or just enjoy) I'd love to see it and I'll print it out and add it to the box!
