Layout Avoid pushing furniture against walls. Pulling your sofa 18–24 inches away from windows creates a "buffer zone." Use high-back chairs perpendicular to the glass to act as internal decorative walls.

Architectural Glass: Consider reeded or acid-etched glass. These distort views perfectly while maintaining nearly 80% light transmission.

Object Shielding: Place open-backed shelving or tall plants (like a Fiddle Leaf Fig) in front of windows to break up sightlines naturally.

Curtains: Opt for a heavy linen with a slight "crushed" or slubby weave. The irregular fibers do a better job of distorting shapes from the outside compared to a flat, thin weave.

Double Rod System: Instead of one thick curtain, use a double rod. Place a high-density sheer linen on the inner rod and your heavier linen panels on the outer rod. This allows you to keep the "soft glow" during the day while having the option to fully cocoon the room at night.

Additionally, using smart frosted glass that can change from clear glass to privacy glass when you click on a switch can add an element of privacy as well.
