I think this movie was about miniature dinosaurs, but that may be a different one. Anywho, the scene i recall is there is a gardener that these kids have to sneak past, he may or may not be drunk. They decide to go about this by hiding a walkie talkie (I think) by the base of a tree and convincing the gardener that the tree is talking and it needs him to prune it? He goes on about how the tree is too small, but they manage to convince him (why I think he might have been drunk) by groaning they need pruned, and then they get past him.

Ok, so this movie if I recall correctly is basically some kids or a whole family use a remote and go inside a TV. The show or movie they are stuck in features cavemen and dinosaur people. The remote comes with them and they can kind of use it to influence the world they are stuck in. I think the dad was a scientist that made the remote, but I wouldn't hold to that detail. Anywho, one of the antagonists is one of the dinosaur people who learns about the remote and is after it. A plot point I remember is one of the kids surreptitiously removes the batteries from the remote for a bit when they are captured to keep them from using the remote. I think the movie is from the 80s, 90's, or early 2000's. One of the protagonists from within the program they are trapped in also a dinosaur person, he might have been wearing a reddish leather jacket, but that detail might be off. The dinosaur people had heads kind of like a t-rex and they were close to regular people size. It's not Tammy and the T-rex
