Need to connect 2 ply 2x10 to 6x6 without notching the post. There is a 2560 # reaction from the beam. Whats the best way to connect?

This was buried too low. I cleared some dirt and roots out. Do I need to try and expose more of the rootball or should I try to dig it up and lift it out some more?
