Hello everyone. So around 2 months ago I applied at my county correctional facility to be a provisional correctional officer. I filled out the application, and then received a background history packet. After fully completing the packet and providing all necessary documentation, I then got my fingerprints done. After fingerprints, maybe a week or two, I had an in person interview that went really well (had some juvenile issues that I was pressed on, nothing major, all YO status at the end) two weeks after this interview I then got a call to do my pych evaluation and was told by my recruiter that because I’m provisional, this would be the final step.

It has been two weeks now since I completed my pre employment pych evaluation. I guess what I’m asking is

  1. is this slow pace normal for provisional corrections
  2. at this point, if I were to be disqualified for whatever reason, do they have to tell me or can they just ghost me?

This is my first time applying for a job like this. I’m hopeful to start a meaningful, challenging, long term career where I can grow as a person and as a professional.
