Hi folks! planning to move to Lexington and we are having so much trouble finding decent 3 bedroom apartments / townhouses / homes for rent. Have toured 25 properties at this point and we keep running into bad reviews / horror stories, old construction / bad furnishings (countertops, appliances, etc), expect you to apply without seeing the apartment (or even a virtual tour) or absurd hidden fees that push the rent to higher than what are paying in a medium-high COL right now for a much better quality, new construction apartment.

So my question is: Is there any apartment complex inside New Circle that is halfway decent and has 3 bedroom units? Or are we completely doomed here?

Being inside New Circle is important but we have looked all the way to Nicholasville and we are out of options.

Some issues with regularly recommended places here:

  1. Ashgrove Farms: still under construction. Construction noise is insane

  2. Waterstone at Hamburg: corridors smell rank. probably because of all the trash left out

  3. Latitude on the Lake: really bad construction. Paint peeling in unit they showed

  4. Retreat at Hamburg: 400+ in hidden fees added

  5. Merrick Place: Extremely dirty in the breezeways and very old construction

Homes? Property mgmt companies don’t answer. People don’t pick up for rent sign numbers.

Sorry, I don’t mean to whine but for 2.2-2.8k, you expect a lot more than what’s to offer. Please tell us what to do. I’m getting desperate now

Hi folks! planning a 4 day getaway with our cat later this month. we can go anywhere east of the Mississippi. Goal is for us to go on hikes with our cat (which we have done already so we know her approach to it).

She prefers wooded areas with tree canopy, hills / mountainous terrain, defined trails (not paved, just defined so there is a path to follow), <80F temps, few crowds and general quiet. We have had bad experiences with off and on leash dogs so dont want to go to trails where we would find a lot of dogs.

Any suggestions on where to go? We had Smoky Mountains backcountry, Alleghany National Forest and Monongahela forest on our list. Curious to hear the community’s thoughts. Thanks!
