Possible assault or killing.

I was driving home to my house on a street which is in the undesirable part of Lexington.

Going down 7th tonight at around 10:45 I was going down 7th towards right before maple st. onto mine, I had a man saturated in blood with another male running across. Nothing but blood splats on his white tee. I cant stop crying. I have a slight description but I was in such histaric from what I saw I wonder if anyone saw. Edit: also I did call the police as soon as i got home which was less than a minute from it.

Depression is a bitch!

(Preface: this is not about suicide, just venting my sadness)

Here I sit on a Sunday night getting plastered drunk missing my ex SO of 9 years listening to music.

"I can't escape this hell that I live in"

It's been a trip ngl.

I've learned much, but have no desire to find out what is next.

Fuck this world!

Fuck 90% of the shitty NCP people.

I was born in the wrong timeline.

Barnes and Noble purchases Joseph Beth?

I noticed on Apple Maps that the Rookwood Joseph Beth has Barnes and Noble in the same location now.

I then checked the BnN store locator and Joseph Beth is listed as a location. I have not seen any news articles or anything about this.

Visiting Lexington because of my family’s history here

Hey everyone,
I came to Lexington for Fourth of July weekend. My parents used to live here in the 90s, and they owned a Mexican restaurant called Toño’s. I wanted to visit the city they loved and get a better feeling for it myself.
So far, it’s been great. People have been kind, and I can see why my parents had such good memories here.
I’d love to come back again, so I wanted to ask locals: what are the best months to visit Lexington? Are there any local events, festivals, holidays, or traditions worth planning a trip around?
I’m open to any suggestions: food, bars, neighborhoods, live music, local spots, historical places—anything that gives a real feel for the city.
Also, I’m traveling solo, so I’d appreciate recommendations for good social spots too. Places with a fun crowd, live music, dancing, or anywhere that’s easy to meet people without it feeling forced.
Thanks in advance.

Car wash shop for matte finish

My wife just got a car with a matte finish and everyone says you shouldn’t take it through an automated car wash because it’ll damage the finish. Is there a car wash in town that you would recommend for her?

Cat Behavioralist/Cat Psychic

Have two kitty boys who are really struggling to get along after a year. They are starting to cause trouble for the entire home. Love each other through the net on the door/through the door but it’s WWlll the moment they are in the same room. One is so happy to have a friend, the other views the other as an enemy. We are on the hunt for some help. We’ve pretty skeptical folks, but are at our wits end. Any help or word on people who could help in Lexington?

Fireworks?

I live near the Man 'o War, Tates Creek area and I've noticed fireworks to the south of me. I can only see the tops of the bursts due to obstructions, but curious as to if this might be from Nicholasville or another location. Thanks

Singles bored on the 4th?!

I moved to Lexington for work and only have a work life. I've yet to make friends!

I'm considering going to the Burl to have a beer and play some pinball, but damn its hard to do these things alone!

Is this a normal feeling? Do others find it difficult to do social activities by yourself? I haven't been alone in a combined 18 years!

Best places to search for August Rentals?

Anyone have suggestions for finding a rental starting at the end of July? It’s been pointless for me to look too early since our landlord won’t release the deposit early despite it being them who kicked everyone out because they sold the building.

It’s been a waste of time to look at individual sites because the turn around is so quick. And I have such a long list I have lost track of half the possibilities. I live with my partner of 18 years, we are both working, at this point we would even be open to a roommate situation (although more short term while we wait on the deposit and hope to again be in our own place), but I don’t know where to look for that either in Lexington.

People who live by the new highway walls, are you happy about them?

I noticed that they are building those noise barriers around certain parts of the freeway and I was wondering how the residents that live nearby them feel about them? I would be annoyed to look outside my window and there is a huge wall there. Does the noise get that bad?

Happy Fourth, by the way, have fun, stay safe and hydrated

Legal (and Safe) to Pick Berries Along Liberty Park Trail?

Quite a few of the blackberries(?) along the walking trail are ripe, and the animals aren’t eating them, as I’d expected. In my relative’s state, you need a permit to pick berries on public land, but cursory Googling didn’t produce anything like that locally. Anyone know, or do you pick and eat them yourself?
