What genuinely influences you when choosing a new cremation/urn supplier?
Hi everyone, I’m looking for some professional insight from those of you who work in funeral homes or handle cremation arrangements.
I’m not trying to sell anything and I’m not promoting a business. I’m simply trying to understand the industry better from your perspective.
For funeral directors, arrangers, or anyone involved in ordering cremation products:
• What qualities or behaviors make you feel confident about trying a new supplier?
• What are the biggest green flags when someone approaches your funeral home about cremation‑related services or products?
• Are there specific things a potential vendor should never do when reaching out?
• How important are factors like turnaround time, communication style, sample quality, or pricing transparency?
• If you’ve ever switched suppliers, what made you comfortable making that change?
I’d really appreciate any honest feedback. I want to understand what matters most to you so I can approach the industry respectfully and professionally.
Thanks in advance to anyone willing to share their experience.
