2ACW and Internet Access
Disclaimer: I'm not American so my knowledge of conditions and infrastructure in areas might be wonky.
It's popular to imagine tweets and news articles posted in the middle of the Second American Civil War in TFR. It's made me think a lot about if it'd even be possible to access the internet in the civil war. I don't think it'd disappear completely but I've been considering these factors:
Infrastructure like cell towers being attacked.
Governments cutting access to certain sites.
If companies even want to stay and keep infrastructure running.
The more chaotic and contested areas like Chicago would likely have poor to no internet access. I can also see California having no access (Messy area in general at first, companies protesting the APLA). Meanwhile some areas would be relatively stable like the UOA heartlands.
Does all this make sense? What do you think?
I really don't mean to police anyone's fanfic endeavors but it's always cool to see something written with such things in mind.
