Hi everyone,
We’re planning a super small elopement with just the two of us. I’m thinking about hiring a content creator to capture some behind-the-scenes video so we have something to look back on and maybe share later.
Part of me loves the idea, but part of me wonders if it’s overkill for such a simple day. If we don’t, we won’t really have any footage at all.

Has anyone done this for a very intimate elopement? Worth it or too much?

My fiancé and I have decided to elope at the end of the year, and we’re so excited! We already picked our photographer, but I’ve been considering doing an engagement/pre-shoot with her beforehand to make sure we really click and have a good vibe together. We did an engagement shoot last year. However, the photographers editing style does not match the vision for our elopement.

My biggest concern is that since an elopement is such an intimate experience, I’d hate for the day to feel awkward or less special if we don’t connect well with the photographer.

Has anyone here done an engagement or pre-shoot before their elopement? Did it help?
