What should I do
Here is the story. So I’m currently dealing with with my 16 years old daughter to get a car for her, base on my financial situation right now, we can’t afford an another new vehicle for her at this moment or a decent used car. So my boyfriend offered me that her mom has a decent used car that she has been wanted to get rid of for a while, it’s better to give to my daughter to let her drive. So I was debating with myself for a bit and also to convince my daughter to take that vehicle. So we finally decided to take that vehicle, because it’s going to be a huge relief for us.
Since his mom lives another state, so we plan to go down there in the summer and drive the car back. He spoke to his mom today about our plan, he told me that his mom would like to keep the car for now, she changed her mind which is I totally understand. I appreciate that they offered me that option initially, however I feel like I’m in a such weird spot right now, I don’t even know how to talk to my daughter about the change. My boyfriend give me another option instead which is he is willing to buy a used car for my daughter and he is willing to pay the down payment, and I will pay the rest of the amount and he prefers to have the car under my name.
I’m still not feeling so good about this whole situation has changed, if he didn’t offer this option at the first place, we didn’t even think about this at all. So what you guys would do. Thank you
