Entrance to Kentucky Kingdom in 1989
From a facebook post by A Kentucky Jester at the Kingdom. Pretty cool paint scheme in my opinion. One poster said this was during a preview at the state fair in 1989. https://www.facebook.com/share/p/18xtc13JBa/

Cute show. Fun for the kids for sure. It's about 20 minutes long.
So I planted this April 23rd. It's full sun with a 50% shade cloth, zone 6b pretty heavy clay soil but I did plant with some shrub and tree soil. It seems to be doing ok. A little burn is there but I didn't install the shade cloth until a few days into May. I'm concerned with over watering mostly. Is the stick a knuckle in 2 inches good enough? I have a cheap moisture/ph/light meter and kinda use that too.
Also, I plan on taking the shade cloth down late September or so. I was thinking I'd put it up again next year. I plan on planting some stuff nearby that should give it some shade at some point but I'm just curious how crimson queens deal with full sun in a place that is 6b. Any and all advice welcome.
Also root flair is exposed but squirrels keep burying stuff in the mulch so I have to monitor it and make sure it doesn't get too covered like it is in this first picture.
