Sold the car - ready to make the switch

Hi all, first time poster here. Looking through some of the posts today has been really inspiring, but I’ve long been thinking about making the switch. Well today I sold my car, it had been giving me issues for a while and was 22 years old, so it had a good run.

I used to cycle regularly to work, but haven’t even been on a bike in about 5 years!

I’m looking for a cargo bike to take my 6 year old daughter to school, do supermarket runs, local trips etc. plus also the capacity to do longer solo runs when my daughter is with her mother (shared custody) would also be nice.

Budget is flexible as I can finance something more expensive - I don’t mind spending more for good quality and longevity, and Tern bikes are looking good from what I’ve seen so far. I’m based in the UK, and have seen good things about Decathlon bikes too.

I live in a terraced house with a small raised patio area outside the front of the house which would be able to accommodate some kind of storage unit, or I could keep it inside but I’m not exactly awash with space.

I still have access to a car via my girlfriend, but she uses it for work so it is mainly for weekend trips or anything long distance.

Any help would be appreciated!
