Help! My psu failed and it was smoking

Earlier today I saw one of my fan connectors had melted into a plastic goop. I thought I had found the source of the smell, but then my PSU started smoking and smelling terrible. Can my components be safely plugged into a new power supply? I don't know what to do or what to check for on my motherboard. Is it likely this is related to my fan melting?

Edit for specs: Intel i9 12900k

amd rx 6600 gpu

Corsair cx750f rgb power supply

16gb ram ddr4

Msi z690 pro a ddr4 wifi motherboard

Fan connector melted

I have been noticing a strange smell for a few days. Unsure of what I was smelling or what was causing it, I didn't think much of it, but today I turned on my PC, and it started smoking and smelled so bad. I opened the side panel and saw this fan ARGB connector had melted. The cable was very stiff and snapped when I moved it, as seen in the picture. Is it something I have done? And what do I need to do to make sure my PC is okay? I have removed the fan from pc but I'm scared to turn it on again
