Urgent Help Needed for Our Family #RSA
For the past year, my family of five has been living inside a garage.
It was never meant to be a home, but it’s become our reality. We sleep, eat, and try to live in a space separated from the outside world by thin walls that do very little against wind, rain, and cold. Winters have been especially difficult, and the living conditions are far from ideal for children.
My wife lost her job during this time, and since then things have been a constant balancing act between food, transport, and basic daily survival. Despite everything, our three children still go to school every day and try to keep moving forward like any other kids.
We’ve been doing what we can to make the space slightly more livable — insulating where possible, patching up drafts, and trying to create some stability in a situation that was never designed for long-term living.
It’s been a tough year, but also one that’s shown us how resilient kids can be, even in uncomfortable circumstances.
Just sharing our situation here because I know many people on Reddit have experienced or seen similar struggles, and sometimes perspective or advice from others can be helpful.
