So i installed Arch manualy Like Always and i did 1:1 the Same i did on my Laptop but now i have this weird console Like KDE and it laggs rly horrible and idk how to fix this. Specs rtx 3060, AMD ryzen 7 5800x3d, 64gb ram, 1tb 980 EVO, 512gb 980, cmd i wrote to Install: Pacman -S sddm plasma
I personaly use Arch (Laptop) and cachyos (Desktop) and i wanted to switch my Desktop, right now im creating a USB Boot Drive with arch because i Like Arch and its flexibility and stability i experienced but i wanna ask what distro would make more Sense, i game, i Like stability of Proton, i Like freedoom, i Like if it Just works and i Run a Nvidia 3000series GPU and vr. please recommend some actualy mainable distro and not some 15yro tiktok LARP distro or Something i have to build Everything Like a brick Set without concrete building instructions. I asked for some Upgrade mods some days ago and some Said its Not possible and i rather should Go learn Linux 32bit, and i mean i could but i also could spend unreasonable amount of Money for a 3d printer, a newer ThinkPad and learn how to remap the Keyboard and trackpad and create a own eDP to Dual-Channel LVDS Board and having prb one of the coolest ThinkPads oat, when i do this i will Look into document it as good as my ADHS brain can do and even try to make Everything as opensource as possible and share the resaults, my biggest Question now is If someone did a mod for the Screen so it can use eDP and If i should Just retrofit Something or even try to fit in Desktop Hardware in it? I got this fully IBM brandet Thinkpad t60 (as far i know the only diference to the lenovo brandet is that its Missing the Lenovo Logos) for free and i Completly fell in love with its size and Formfactor, but Maximum of 3.25gb RAM and a core Duo aint it for my own taste, i know that there are frankenpads with t61 mobo but 8gb with core 2duo aint it for me too and the t70 Mod mobo is way to expensive for me, i was wondeding if it was possible to get a Motherboard of a t440, or even better a t480 world Work inside it with some modding? And for everyone Just say, use SSH or any other Screen mirror Thing over Internet, my Main Desktop does Not have Internet when im Not Hotspot it and the mobile wifi is horible in my country.

Dont get me wrong i dont hate Linux, i Love it, i Personaly use it since late 2020 and Completly switched to it in start of 2026 after i got a rly Bad windows Virus over one of the 150+ Kernel exploits Windows Had this week and Windows Just broke every year for No reason, for example my sys32 curupted because i Run the eac Manual installed because Windows couldnt Install IT automaticly, thats for 3 Times, Windows is Just to complicated for me and its less of a struggle for me to Just Type in the App i want with a short comment then searching the Installer, running IT, deleting it because its the 32bit and rerunning IT but thats Not the topic, i do some socialmedia where i Upload a Video Like twice a month or smh and i Just Made a Video making fun of the "year of Linux Desktop" booting into Arch Linux and i got thousends Off comments, some say that gentoo is better, Arch is bad, some Said its archinstall and i proved them wrong and they Just Block me, some other Video i Run fastfetch to Show Hardware Specs and Played a Game and then some gentoo User Said that i should sudo -rf myself because i use Arch, some other i Just have fastfetch Open because Linux saves your Open applications etc and i didnt used my Laptop a Long time and i was Just lazy af and Just wanted to make a Video so the tiktok algorythm dont Completly Destroys me, i showed my Desktop with some nonsense Text and again a gentoo user Said that i would make Sure to Tell every Atom to use Arch, i went to the Profile and the First Video was a Video with a Desktop and the wallpaper was gentoo Logo, He Had Like 9 different Terminals with fastfetch and the gentoo Logo and Like 5 Pictures of the Logo and i giant Text spelling gentoo, Like my question is, why are Linux Larper so weird, Like 6% of the Desktop PCs are Linux, Most Handhelds are Linux, Most phones are Linux, Not everyone using Linux is some 15yro larper trying to FLEX some other ppl hyprland Rice from github, i Just want to use my PC how i want to use it, im Not going to use Windows because i have 64gb RAM, 2.5tb storage 20gb vram and a 8c16t CPU Just because you Said so, accapt that ppl have a better pc then you with your half broken ThinkPad t400, ppl Like this actualy ruins the Linux rep which is sad cuz Linux is great for stuff Like focused based Workflow or gaming and ppl wich actualy could even Like it hate IT because the comunity is ruined by larper and Arch Warrior.
