my friend doesn't want to be friends because I'm not in his class or "cool"
so I'm a high school student Male 13 and my friend Male 13 we have been friends for about 9 months and to be honest he's kind of a jerk but we were still friends if I'm being honest I should of distanced myself from him but you know he's my friend and I'm not really the one to get rid of friends especially because he's popular (at my school the more extreme people are the "cooler they are (god I hate the word "cool")) since he was extreme he was an interesting friend to say the least but we had fun plus it seemed like whenever he knew he made a stupid decision he was apologetic the new year started which in Australia I don't know about America but new year means a new class that you spend majority of the class time with anyway I realised he was just all against me like he shared food with everyone else but me and just acted different around me anyone so in the only class I have with him I sat next to him in class he seemed kind of pissed that he had to sit next to me but was forced to as the teacher would get pissed and I confronted him about why he's so mad at me even though I've treated him with nothing but kindness he responded to me come on bro a kid like me can't hang out with a kid like you I asked him what a kid like me is and he said I'm a nerd he beat around the bush a bit but he basically said that (I literally asked him you mean a nerd and he said yes) and that people can't be in friends if they are not in the same class I get why it could make it difficult so what should I do
