Car Camping
I just bought a touring and plan on doing some car camping (off the grid) in it soon. I did a test run and it was great! Very comfortable, I could watch YouTube on the screen, plenty of room, etc… my question is, I left the A/C blowing on low speed at about 68 just to keep the car decent while I slept. After 2 hours the car gave me a notification saying it would shut down. I went ahead and turned it off and left it off because it was nice out so cracking the windows was fine.
Is it safe to override that shut down and keep the car “running” for extended periods of time? Is it safe to maybe shut it down for 10 mins and turn it back on? It’s going to get warm where I’m camping and I’m hoping to leave the climate control on for longer periods but I’m wondering if that advisable or safe for the car. Any help, comments, advice would be great! Thank you!
