Chapter Title: 881: The Gakuka Banner

The chapter begins with the Hishin on the verge of annihilation within the enemy's encirclement.

Suddenly, the Gakuka army, led by Mouten, breaks through the enemy lines, attempting to rescue them.

The Zhao soldiers realize that the Gakuka are fighting desperately to clear a path for the Hishin to escape, despite being outnumbered.

Shin shouts Mouten's name upon seeing him.

Mouten orders his men to maintain the peg formation and not disintegrate, no matter how many fall at the front.

He also orders the Gakuka banner to be raised high so the Hishin soldiers can see it and know where to go.

Koryo (the grandson of the grandfather who was with Mouten) remembers his father, a fierce warrior in Moubu's army who died young due to his recklessness.

He smiles and says that he seems to have inherited his father's fierce nature, not his grandfather's gentleness.

Souko rushes forward, creating a breach in the siege.

The rest of the unit circles behind him, and banners are raised in several places.

The Hishin soldiers spot the Gukuka banner and shout, "This is our only chance to escape!" Shin orders all those who were scattered and cut off on the battlefield to be gathered.

Shin meets his companions, Sosui and Ryouyou, who made their way to him to act as a shield.

Shin asks about the other flanks and he Kyourai, and Kyoukai are told that the area where Kou is located is completely isolated and inaccessible.

Kyourai's mood sours upon hearing the news, but Kyoukai tells her that they have no choice but to pray for his survival.

Ten collapses saying that her mind has stopped working, even though she is the war advisor.

Shin reassures her that now is a time for the sword not the mind and asks her To stay behind him while he forges his own path. Finally Shin and Mouten come face to face.

Shin apologizes that the Gakuka men sacrificed their lives for him, but Mouten smiles saying they are comrades-in-arms, then warns him: "We haven't escaped yet the Zhao army's encirclement is still as thick as ever." (Riboku appears from behind as Mouten says this last sentence.)

Chapter 880 Title: Comrades

The chapter opens with the death of Kaku from the Tonkaku brothers. Archers and spearmen are besieging Shin, and the situation is dire. Karyoten is targeted, but Kyoukai and Kyourai arrive to rescue her(Karyoten appears unconscious)

Only Kyoukai and Kyourai remain from Kyoukai's squad!!

Kyourai goes to search for Kou-chan, but Shin shouts at her not to, explaining that her strength is needed in his current position.

He reasones that as long as this position is secure, the others can withstand it.

He says, "Hold on tight, support each other, protect each other, don't look beyond, focus only on the enemy in front of you, and fight to the end!" The Hishin leaders are motivated and fight fiercely.

Shin continues, "To keep the other flames burning, we will hold out here until the very end.

" Kyourai notices something then Kyoukai, then Shin horses approaching Riboku turns to the left

Mouten, Rikusen, and Aisen arrive at the battlefield The Soldiers with Mouten says: "The legendary Hishin squad is about to be wiped out".

Aisen says, "It's too late. We don't have the strength to break through that encirclement.

We've come all this way, but we'll be wiped out too if we try." Mouten confirms, "Yes, we will break through!!!" He orders his army to attack and strike the backs of the enemies surrounding the Hishin.

News reaches Riboku that the approaching army is the Gakuka, those around him are surprised , as the Gakuka are supposed to be busy with Earl Rei.

Riboku replies, "They must have used the same trick we did (divide the army).

"Ru'an Riboku's student, is surprised he used the same tactic but suggests that his army is small, which is why he managed to arrive.

Mouten divides the army, and they are puzzled because the army is small and the mission was impossible from the start

How can he divide such a small army?

Moutin tells them they will create several breaches to allow as many Hishin as possible to escape.

Aisen asks Moutin why he is risking his life to save the Heishin. Is it for Shin? Moutin smiles and says, "Because he's my comrade. Besides, if the situation were reversed,

Shin would do the same for me!"

Mouten apologizes for his selfishness to Aisen and Rikusen, who fully understand his desire and set off to carry out his orders.

Chapter 879 Title: The Only Gap

The chapter begins with the Zhao army arriving at Shin , but he is rescued by the Hishin members who rush to his aid.

Karyoten screams at Shin, "Are you giving in to despair? Do you want to die?!"

Shin tells her to retreat, but she tells him she has decided to die with him right here.

Soldiers attack Karyoten, but Shin saves her, telling her he hasn't decided to surrender, but his mind wandered.

He admits defeat, then tells her to retreat and orders her to regroup and find a solution.

While they buy some time,

The commanders regroup and use the pile of corpses as a wall until Karyoten finds a solution.

Riboku's disciple is impressed by their quick decision-making and praises them for it.

Some of Riboku's soldiers are annoyed that they will gain some time, but Riboku tells them it's okay, everything is fine, and it will all be over in a flash.

Karyoten correctly analyzes the situation, which is that they have mobilized the leaders who were previously breached, but they cannot find a way out.

She thinks about the issue of Kyoukai and the possibility of going in the direction she is coming from and then turning directly in the opposite direction, and she thinks of more than one idea, but she answers herself that there is no possibility of deceiving Riboku with cunning.

The only remaining option is to unite the army in a single strike.

The narrator, speaking through Karyoten, says that since Riboku is not on good terms with the royal court, he cannot mobilize the royal army.
