The only reason Ten was needed in the Hi Shin was that Kyou Kai was away, and there wasn't anyone competent to come up with tactics.

But Kyou kai is back and isn't going anywhere, all of Shin's formal liuetenants are capable of understanding tactical outlooks to a certain extend.

Shin has, in order of tactical ability and understanding; Kyou kai, Yoko Yoko, So Sui, and En.

If in a battle, he uses his insticts, like; today just fight, no tactical flourishes, tommorow we will test for openings, the day after, we strike where I see the easiest target; I think everyone would be happy about that. All he has to do is keep En close to So sui because En needs So sui's tactical guidance, Kyou kai can survive on her own, and Yoko Yoko has to be close enough to him to move in the time he wants him to, where he wants him to, like how Ouhon was used by Ousen at Hango, he was kept in a position where he could move to Shin in time, or reinforce Ousen .

I'm just saying; at this point, I feel like she's not really that necessary, when it comes to the battles.

The story promised a Shin with sharp insticts who moves and directs his army, manipulates his enemies and controls the conditions of his battles using those insticts, like Renpa, Duke Hyou, and Gyou un, I think that's what we all need. And honestly, in this new chapter, with what we see, I hope to see Ten and Shin's relationship changing to something that help this come to be- the idea of Shin using his insticts primarily, instead of being no different from Moubu and Gai mou as he currently is.

I'm not saying kill Karyo Ten off, or traumatise her and make her leave the Hi Shin, but in the opening battle, there should be an assesment as to how the enemy is moving and the decision should be made to either direct the battle through strategic tactics(like at kokuyou), instictual tactics(like the first Hi Shin battle of Shukai plain on the right flank) or brute force(like at Han).

Karyo Ten is still useful to the Hi Shin and there are many case scenarios where her expertise are absoulutely necessary(the Hi Shin style bridge at Kokuyou, the escape from the Wei encirclement at Sanyou), but the space in the battles should be open for the battle on the Hi Shin side to be directed by Shin's instict.
I think everyone would appreciate a good trap laid by Shin's insticts and for Futei or some other bum to be suprised by Yoko Yoko or some other sword thrust by Shin to appear on his rear flank, being like "I've been trounced. All this time I've been dancing along to that buffoon's tune".

I believe that his physical strength is not the only thing the incalculable battles Shin has been in has nurtured and grown, his body and mind has locked in a far deeper and complicated mechanism and at this point he should be able to use it extensibly. His insticts should be on par with Keisha's, or Kanki at Sanyou.

The dynamic between Shin and Ten when it comes the tactical perspective and direction of battle has to be reconfigured, imo.

The Hi Shin Army of the current Great Qin-Zhao War Arc runs a gauntlet against Zhao Armies of similar sizes. How far does Hi Shin Army get, and how do they fare in the battles with the remaining armies after they fail, if they fail at all?

1. Bafuuji Army 60k, plains battle

2. Futei Army 60k, plains battle

3. Kaine Army 60k, plains battle

4. Bananji Army 60k, hilly wooded area, evening time battle

5. Kotsu Min Haku Army 60k, hilly region battle

6. En Kan Army 60k, plains battle

7. Kisui Army 60k plains battle

8. Shun Sui Ju Army 60k hilly wooded area, raining heavily

9. Shibabshou Army 50k, Shibasou's army is down hill from Shin's.

10. Riboku Army 50k, wooded area

How many does the Hi Shin Army beat? How do they do against the rest?

next chapter , shin and mouten gang watch the armies of zhao passing to chase ten army : koshutsu army pass the first , followed by kaine/futei and bafuji haku amries..
suddetly shin see small flames in the rear of zhao armies .. he see the generals and tells mouten he see flame and he want to kill some zhao generals XD
sosui ask shin to stfu as all the sacrifices were made to allow shin to survive he can't ruin that so childly .
aisen " ill not let you risk mouten life again " ...
Mouten whispering " good idea " everyone suprised/shocked ..
Mouten : " we will not kill the generals ! we will capture them .. zhao armies are rushing to catch ten and their rear is exposed .. high risk but high value "

they split into 2 : shin kai and co attack kaine+futei , while mouten and co attack bafuji+kotsumin haku

zhao rear guards spotting the 2 small units , start laughting " what small units can do ! they are certainly sacrificed troops to draw our intention from chasing shin and mouten ... the rear guard is enough to handle them , let the main troops keep advancing "

however the few hundreds cavalry of both shin and mouten are made of top elite troops and commanders ... they blitz the rear guards with astonishing force..

sosui Hairou and denyou ( and garou if he is there) taking the lead to open up the path toward zhao generals (to save shin and kai energy for last run )

same rikosen soukuu koryuu taking the lead to open up path toward bafuji and haku ( to save mouten and aisen energy) ..

shocked to see the rear guard on the verge of collapsing for a 2 small cavarly units , the zhao generals fast understood there are big fishs attacking them (and some soldiers reports to see shin and mouten and famous commanders .. ) messengers are fast sent to the main armies to inform them that shin and mouten are behind them ..

seeing the messangers mouten scream : ignore them , focus on our target we have no extra force to afford chasing messengers and he smiles (oh that's already part of the plan.. )

the main armies of zhao turns back and try to catch back the rear guard before it's too late ..

last run arrives , qin generals takes the lead and shortly shin encouter futei , kai faces kaine , mouten takes on haku and aisen faces bafuji ..

considering the heavy weight they carry and how the situation is critical , and in a cinematic scene : shin with one blow destroy the 2 swords of futei (his pride as well XD ) and futei falls in the ground , try to stand up but shin glave is already tickle his neck..
kai jump disappears from kaine vision and show up on kaine horse behind kaine sword already next to her neck ..
mouten do his smooth dodge , cut haku right hand and fast swording his neck

aisen ( remembering mouten orders to do it fast ) he gather up increadle strength and deliver successive devastating sword attacks .. bafuji finds himself laying on the ground aisen horse front foots on his chest ..

the rest of the rear immediatly surrender followed with the surrender of the whole corresponding 4 armies for zhao

A messenger reach choukotsu : futei kaine bafuji haku armies are attacked with 2 small units ..

shortly 2sd messenger arrives : choukotsu sama we confirmed that the attackers are shin and mouten personnaly ! " nani ! then the army we chasing is a big lure ? !!

3rd messenger arrives !" report ! urgent report ! " chou : "what now !" " the 4armies totally defeated ! " " say what ! it doesnt make sense ! "

4th messenger arrives ! chou : " is futei trolling me , sending waves of messangers with fake news ? that bastard ! I'll cut his hand later ! , what you have to say 4th messanger ! " well , nothing special , just surrender of die ! " ton tan tan ton tan tan !

it was kyourei that assassinated a messanger , took his dress and sneaked toward chou using the big chaos .. ton tan tan ton tan tan your neck is mine ! and the 5th army of zhao surrendered as well

ten noticed what happened and turned arround to help capturing the surrenders soldiers asap .. and then to prepare for the next battle , as kisui in the east will certainly get the news and try to come and fight ..

of course HAra will never do such a daring scenario ! He become so boring and lazy sadly !

Chapter 885 Title: Each One's Role

The chapter opens the following day at Chokutsu's headquarters, where news arrives of the fleeing army being spotted in the Genkyo region. Chokutsu orders an immediate advance. The same applies to Kainei and Fute's combined army, which is slightly further from the Genkyo region than Chokutsu's, but they too set out.

The same is repeated with Kotsuminha Ko and Bafouji's armies. Kisui also receives the news and says they will leave the west to Kotsuminha Ko and Bafouji, while he and his army, along with Batei, head east. He mentions that he doesn't find pleasure in chasing the weak and emphasizes his desire to finish the job and head north.

We see Qin's fleeing army crossing between two slopes, led by Karyoten. The soldiers imagine pursuers, but Karyoten reassures them that there are no pursuers, only ghosts, as the enemy is still far away. At the top of the slope, we see the horse pits. Someone is watching the movements of the fleeing army from a very ideal position... and there they are: Shin, Mouten, Aisen, Kyoukai, Denio, Sosui, and the rest.

A flashback begins: Karyoten's plan. The Zhao army is pursuing us by expanding the range, forming a wide net, determined to take Mouten and Shin's heads. Therefore, due to the vastness of the net they are trying to find us in, it is easy to penetrate a certain point of this net, but only with a large core force consisting of Shin, Mouten, Kyoukai, and a few others. Shin replies, "Then let's all split up and escape from several places in every direction." But Karyoten tells him that the smaller the number, the narrower the enemy's search net becomes. This is counterproductive, so any unit that is found is immediately and easily wiped out because it is small to begin with... The most important thing is to save Shin and his companions, and this is what the others have done and sacrificed for, those who surrendered in Kantan, as well as the Han forces led by Yokoyoko! Even the Gakuka sacrificed a lot in Kantan to save the crumbling Hishin... The soldiers tell Karyoten that in this situation she is also part of the unit that must be rescued along with Shin and the others, but they tell them that to attract the enemy's attention with the bait, it must be coordinated and under her leadership. No one else can fulfill this role, so she is determined to lead the bait and rescue the others.

Can't believe it took Fraudten a chapter to explain what Fred usually does in two lines
