I Dont know who is bro. But he is already tuff✌️😭

The narrator is throwing magnificent assists. (Chapter 17)

Now the author just has to back up his bold claim for real. For now the manhua is very convoluted. I wont say qi have seen crazy geniuses. But the strategies feel earned thats a good starting point

But there are too many factions and the author thinks we have the perfect geographical state in mind. Which is verry annoying. This is the biggest downgrade imo. The explanations arent visualized through drawings. There are just monologues.

I feel like we could see more easily their geniuses if the author took time in his drawings to give us a map and the plans. As an example you can look at image 3.

And I would LOVE a basic explanation or a detailed map of the city to ease my understanding.

I would say the manhua for now is a 6-7/10. Names and heavy exposition are really making this quite annoyinh to grasp fully.

Others manga related to Kingdom but not yet included in the k.timeline

Here are other manga related—however loosely—to *Kingdom*. I haven't been able to place them on the timeline yet, but I'm sharing them with you anyway; even though I don't have all the up-to-date details, they are all connected to Chinese history. Feel free to share any information you have, as my real-life job takes up a lot of my time and I haven't finished my research yet. I will update Part 4 when I have the time; in the meantime, here are the images I haven't processed yet.

Which Manga Depicted the More Hopeless Obstacle? Shin/Houken (kingdom4) vs. Lu Wan/Xiang Yu (Kingdom5).

Do you think the two scenes are connected—the one-shot scene and the manga scene?

The evolution of Hara's art style and a scene he possibly reused—what a masterclass. I think Shin is stronger than Eisei, but was it a good idea to reuse that scene to boost Eisei's image a bit?

Liu Bang Entourage is the same as CaoCao entourage (special gift for welcoming us on your reddit)

This the Two manga picture that encourage me to do this post, those images are from manga/manhua "legend of the emperor" 3rd arc "the Rogue prince", about liu Bang rise I thinks. But here what I thinks

From Dynasty Warriors to ROTK: Why I Completely Changed My Opinion of Cao Cao

I've been a fan of Dynasty Warriors since the very first game. Back then, it was basically a fighting game featuring historical characters. Then came DW2 — which still traumatizes me because of the Battle of Chibi 😅 — followed by the other games, the Empires series with the 6th, the 7th and 8 DWEmpires, and eventually Total War, starting with Shogun 2 and then Three Kingdoms. After that, I got deeply into Romance of the Three Kingdoms XI, XII, XIII and XIV.

And that's where my perception of Cao Cao gradually started to change.

For a long time, I had the classic view: Liu Bei = the legitimate loyalist, Cao Cao = the great ambitious villain, while Yuan Shao was somewhere on the “good guy” side, or at least among those defending a more legitimate political order.

But the more I learned about the period, the more simplistic that view started to feel. Everything is much more morally and politically grey.

I especially liked Xiahou Dun for a long time without really understanding how all these different members of the clan were connected: Xiahou Dun, Xiahou Yuan, Cao Ren, Cao Hong, Cao Zhang, etc.

Then, while doing more research and spending time on the Kingdom Battle Academy Discord, I came across two things that really changed the way I looked at Cao Cao.

The first one has almost become a personal proverb:

“Don't pick a fight with a eunuch if you're a general.”

More seriously, I started looking into Cao Teng and Cao Cao's family background. I also recently watched a Chinese drama about Cao Cao. Obviously, the show takes quite a few dramatic liberties, but it made me want to look deeper into the historical figure behind the character.

And what a rabbit hole that was.

Cao Teng and Cao Song in particular fascinated me. The way court eunuchs are portrayed — their political influence, their ability to manipulate court networks, and their brutality — made me realize just how violent and unstable the political environment surrounding Cao Cao's upbringing already was.

The drama also develops the idea of a connection between the Cao and Xiahou families, portraying Cao Song's adoption by the Cao family as a consequence of the dangers facing the Xiahou clan. I know that some of these details are based more on later traditions or dramatic interpretation than on firmly established historical facts, so I'd genuinely be interested in hearing what people more knowledgeable about the period think.

But above all, it made me look at Cao Cao differently.

I used to see Liu Bei as the natural defender of Han continuity. Yet the more I study Cao Cao, the more I find that idea worth questioning.

Cao Cao wasn't simply a man trying to destroy the Han. On the contrary, he used the emperor, imperial institutions, and the existing administrative system to rebuild a centralized state while the Han political order was collapsing around him.

And that's where my interest in Liu Bang and the foundation of the Han dynasty became particularly interesting.

I recently came across two beautiful manga panels depicting Liu Bang and his main companions. Obviously, the artwork is heavily romanticized and stylized, but some of the names, dynamics, and especially the composition of his inner circle reminded me of what I was seeing around Cao Cao.

It made me wonder:

What if Cao Cao was, in some ways, much closer to Liu Bang than I had ever realized?

Not because they literally had the same generals — they lived centuries apart, obviously — but because both seem to have possessed the ability to gather very different kinds of people around them: military commanders, administrators, strategists, aristocrats, and men from much more modest backgrounds.

Liu Bang wasn't necessarily the best at every single thing. Part of his genius was knowing how to surround himself with people who were.

And Cao Cao seems to have had a similar ability.

In the end, my perception has almost completely reversed compared to when I first discovered Dynasty Warriors.

I used to see Liu Bei as the natural embodiment of Han legitimacy. Now I see Cao Cao as a much more complex figure: a man who used the institutions of the Han to restore a state whose very survival was gradually becoming dependent on him.

That obviously doesn't make Cao Cao a “good guy.” He was capable of brutality, massacres, and extremely cynical decisions.

But that's precisely what makes him interesting to me.

I no longer see the period as:

Liu Bei = good guy / Cao Cao = bad guy / Yuan Shao = noble rival.

I see it more as a struggle between several powerful men, each claiming to have an answer to one fundamental question:

How do you rebuild a political order after the collapse of the Han?

And I think that's what took me from “I don't like Cao Cao” to “Cao Cao might actually be the character I find most fascinating.”

I'd genuinely love to hear from people who know the historical sources better:

Does this interpretation of Cao Cao as a pragmatic heir to the political tradition of the Han make sense, or am I projecting too much of what I've learned from ROTK, Dynasty Warriors, and modern Chinese dramas onto the actual history?

Eyes that capture the path to China (part1)

This iconic scene from Yasuhisa Hara's manga *Kingdom* stands out as one of the work's most memorable moments: the Great General Ouki, locking eyes with the young king and thinking on the destiny of unifying China.

## The scene and Ouki's words The specific line in question refers to the moment Ouki sees within him the gleam of the great kings capable of leading the people. He describes Ei Sei’s eyes as "eyes with no naivety that have captured the path leading to the unification of China." Through this gaze, Ouki officially acknowledges Ei Sei as his sole sovereign, thereby validating the young king's legitimacy in pursuing his dream.

* **Legitimizing the hero:** The protagonist (Ei Sei) is often young or faces opposition. Having a legendary authority figure (Ouki) validate his gaze and ambition lends immediate credibility to the hero's project in the eyes of other characters.

* **The transfer of vision:** The author uses the eyes as a mirror of the soul and determination. To say an eye "captures the path" implies that the character is not merely dreaming; he already sees the reality of his victory.

* **Creating an emotional anchor:** This is the moment the protagonist shifts from being a follower to becoming the heir to a monumental dream, propelling the plot toward its next major phase.

Im gona put entire image, no edit for you to see.

1.Ying Zheng (Eisei aka Qin Shi wang)

2.Ying Renhao (Qin Mu Gong)

  1. Bonus : Liu Bang (Han Gaozu) + Xiang Yu eyes (sorry i dont have his courtoisy name)

Every Best Manga Version of the men who held the title of "Strongest Man in China," listed in order.

Here are the men i found who held the title of "Strongest Man in China," listed in order. The only question I have is: between Xiang Liang and Lu Bu, can we really include Han Xin? Or is there someone else—a king whose name I’ve forgotten, but the one who restored the Han (specifically the Eastern Han)? He seemed strong. Anyway, here is the lineage of China's "Strongest"—from Ouki (*Kingdom* version) to Ma Chao (*Romance of the Three Kingdoms* version). I can understand if Ma Chao is debatable, though, since you have anomalies like Zhao Yun and Xu Chu around the same time. What is your take on this?

  1. Ouki (Wang Yi)

2.Moubu (meng Wu)

  1. Xiang Yu and not Xiang Liang (Kou Ryou), sorry🤕

  2. LuBu (FengXian)

  3. Gyan yu (Yu Chang)

  4. Ma Chao (Meng Qi)

All mangas, animes, films, series related to kingdom! (Origins/Prequel/Current/Future)[Part1: Origins+Prequel]

Here is all the material (manga, anime, films, series) I could find that is related—however tangentially—to Hara's work, *Kingdom*. I used the same classification system as for works dealing with the Qin dynasty. The starting points are *Kingdom 1* (covering the life of Duke Xiao of Qin, aka Ying Quliang/Ying Julian) and *Kingdom 4* (covering the life of Qin Shi Huang, aka Ying Zheng/Eisei). This is everything I’ve found so far; please feel free to add any titles you know. I’m not omniscient—I might make mistakes or overlook certain works. If I’ve got anything wrong—whether it’s the time periods, names, or if I’ve confused two different figures or characters—please feel free to correct me. I’m open to any discussion or debate. Thanks.

ZhaoKings, How do you go from a decent king to the detestable ones that came after??

I found this video on TikTok; it focuses on the former King of Zhao—Toujou's father, I believe—>! and how he revolutionized his state's cavalry during that famous meeting !< with his ministers and generals.

In your opinion, does the clip accurately portray the events of that day?

Are the generals shown the right ones?

The actor playing the role is apparently the same one who played Guan Yu in *Three Kingdoms*.

Does he make a good King of Zhao?

And how could a king >! who seems so charismatic and intelligent in his decision-making !< produce >! the decadent line of !< Zhao kings that followed?

how do you go from him to them?? how🤕🙃🤪

All manga, films, dramas, comics related to Kingdom in any way. (Part1)

>!Hi everyone, I've been working on this for a long time and I hope I've done a good job. I've traced the entire history of China through all the works (manga, manhua, comics, donghua, films, and TV dramas) already released and currently being published. My entry point into history is the Kingdom manga by Hara, and I've used the classification system that began with the Qin Epic series, with Kingdom being the 4th installment of the saga. So Hara is working on the history of the 4th saga of the Kings of Qin (Eisei), hence Kingdom 4 (this is also to maintain a coherent timeline, as several works can deal with the same period but in different ways, so I gave it the reference title "the same period Kingdom, but with its original title" so you can check and correct me when I make a mistake or misrepresent information).I received help from KingdomBattleAcademy; they're the most knowledgeable about the historical accuracy of Kingdom. I found many films dating from 1987 to the very latest one from 2024. They have all the manhua from every dynasty, from Xia to Qing. In short, feel free to correct me. I had a lot of information to process, and I'm not perfect like Kanki; I'm human with weaknesses like everyone else. But I hope you'll appreciate it and add other works I might have forgotten. Despite my classification—Kingdoms origin, prequel, current, and future—I still have a lot of work to do, let's say. And if you want the others part let le know in the comment section.!<
