Perfect Crown is an utter disaster by the finale.
I have been wanting to love this show since the beginning and actually gave it so many chances, including making theories and forcefully loving the plot. But, this show was such a let down. It doesn’t know what it wants to be. Uggghhh! I hate it so much because the story could have been good they definitely cut out so much of the plot. Like, PM Min are I an are supposed to be best of friends since high school so the betrayal is supposed to cut deep and that’s why he tears up in the end. But nothing in the show has shown this. We could barely even tell they were friends at all. Huiju’s father is supposed to be this overly protective but hard hat father but besides the slap we don’t know what he is thinking. I would rather PM Min try to kill I an over the stability of the crown than Huiju because it makes no sense that he would want him dead over her. The other thing is Huiju’s father being a lord should have been a big moment because in his character description it’s said that he faced many struggles just because he was just of low birth and it was something he couldn’t have bought. They never showed us enough to actually empathize with the characters.
So many plot lines abandoned to the point that the story is not even coherent if we don’t actively overthink to make it make sense.
Why did they do this to such a good cast and story?.
No one in the right mind would release this incomplete trash. They literally released this show knowing we will gobble it up because of IU and Byeon Woo-Soek. The bar is getting so low by the minute. I don’t know why I feel so offended to the point that I am actually angry over it. 😤
I wish they would release the original screenplay of the show.
