South Korea will cancel a celebrity because they smoke but pdfs go free

That verdict from the police, i'm not surprised. This is not the first time ra pists and pdfiles have gone free. It's sad Saeron didn't get justice. And he would soon be back on our screens like nothing happened.

I first saw him in the producers ( a drama I've rewatched multiple times) and became a fan for years, watched every project of his. But I choose not blindly support him when its obvious he's guilty .

Edit: he denied at first that they dated. Then later said they dated when she wasn't a minor.

Yet police "findings" claims they never dated.

A grown man whiles serving in the military, sending i miss you messages to a minor. ( yep totally normal)

The IU Bashing is Kinda boring but Also Revealing

The IU bashing is really kicking up a notch. People are putting so mych effort into pretending they are not bashing her or are being reasonable or are just being objective. But really its just bashing.

I am not an IU fan I cant think of the word they use. The only drama I ever liked her in was Hotel Del Luna and I didnt love it. None of her dramas are enjoyable to me. I have a real dislike of Scarlett Heart I didnt at all enjoy My Mister or The Producers I didnt watch Perfect Crown

Yet I saw a post today that started with Ready for Downvotes gets 607 upvotes.

Im Ready for Downvotes goes on to really just say IU s not great and coukdnt pull off her Chaebol role used an unflattering pic of her but this post gets gets 607 upvotes.

Thats revealing!! so often people are like "oh be nice dont be rude etc etc (especially to me) Yet the amount of piling on IU and Schaudenfraude over her controversy on the sub is revealing of a double standard maybe a bit of hypocrisy 🤔 or maybe its not but its not nice and as I said Im not a fan but unlike some A list asshole men who get no hate. It seems really unfair

“My rent was overdue and I couldn’t even pay my health insurance” ... Gong Seungyeon confesses to past financial struggles

https://www.pannatic.com/2026/05/my-rent-was-overdue-and-i-couldnt-even.html?m=1

She confessed. “There was a time when I couldn't get any roles. I think it was because my acting wasn't good enough.”

As projects stopped coming in and she repeatedly failed auditions, the balance in her bank account eventually became empty. She revealed, “I couldn't pay my rent, and I wasn't even able to afford my health insurance or pension payments. After struggling financially for a while, I eventually packed up my place and moved back in with my parents while working on improving my skills”

So sooo glad to see Gong Seungyeon getting recognition even though I first got to know her in Sixteen audition program where she made an appearance for her sister TWICE Jeongyeon, after watching her various works I became her fan over the years. I hope she gets more lead roles now!

Police Make Conclusion On Kim Sae Ron And Kim Soo Hyun’s Relationship

On the 21st, according to JoongAng Ilbo, the application for the arrest warrant submitted by the Seoul Gangnam Police Station stated that Garosero Institute‘s Kim Se Ui spread false information about actor Kim Soo Hyun for financial gain, including YouTube earnings.

The police noted in the warrant application that the suspect was well aware that Kim Soo Hyun had not dated the late actress Kim Sae Ron since her minor years but distributed falsehoods with the intent to defame him.

The media report said that messenger conversations Kim Se Ui presented last March as evidence of dating were all found to be fabricated by the police. After receiving 11 screenshots of messages allegedly exchanged between the late actress and an unknown person in 2016 from the bereaved family last year, Kim altered seven parts, including changing the interlocutor’s name to Kim Soo Hyun. The police pointed out that the suspect posted manipulated materials to make it appear as though the two had actually conversed, despite knowing the other party’s identity was unconfirmed. Moreover, the police believe the voice files of the late actress released by Kim’s side in May last year were also manipulated using AI technology.

It is understood that the bereaved family’s legal representative has also been registered with investigative authorities along with Kim Se Ui. The police judged that the family’s lawyer supplied incriminating materials to Kim and not only spread false information but also systematically expanded and reproduced it in an organized and premeditated manner. Regarding this, Kim Soo Hyun’s legal representative, lawyer Ko Sang Rok, stated on his social media on the 20th that Kim Soo Hyun’s side did not file a complaint against the family’s lawyer and that the investigative agencies appear to have identified the lawyer as an accomplice and changed them into a suspect, which is an extremely rare case for a suspect’s lawyer to be recognized as an accomplice and then converted to a suspect.

The police stated in the warrant application that this case led to the collapse of actor Kim Soo Hyun’s social foundation and his entire economic activities, undermining his professional livelihood. They added that, as Kim is currently receiving psychiatric treatment, if the suspect continues to spread false information, it could cause serious, irreparable harm.
On the other hand, Kim Se Ui claimed that the prosecution’s request for an arrest warrant was a plot to hinder his reporting activities. During a live broadcast the previous day, Kim said he originally planned to further investigate a sexual crime case involving a prominent politician in Hanoi, Vietnam, and asserted that the sudden request for an arrest warrant was intended to obstruct his reporting work.

So attractive but why? The Wonderfools (2026)

Recently I've been watching The Wonderfools kdrama and I really enjoy it. Although whenever Cha Eun-woo shows up, I feel an immense amount of attraction and admiration whenever I see his face. It goes like this, I'm watching the show and the plot is plotting then he appears, and suddenly I just feel this urge of appreciating how attractive he is.
Like it PHYSICALLY gives me a heartthrob to look at him. Halfway through the series and I still haven't gotten over how overwhelmingly attractive he is.
It's gotten to the point where I want to understand why I feel so strongly like this. This may just be fan behavior or a celebrity crush thing but I want to know the psychology behind why my brain is so overwhelmingly interested in Eun-woo or any other person who's just as attractive. I also want to state that I find it a bit creepy that I MYSELF feel this strong type of emotion because typically if I see an attractive person I would want to treat them casually and not feel like I need to grasp the nearest wall to clench.

I guess the closest thing I can compare this feeling to is cuteness aggression with animals but this time it's a grown ass man..?

It is an emotion that makes me feel out of control and if I understand the mechanism behind it, it's easier to control. Do I sound like a freak? I'm a freak for Cha Eun-woo that's for sure 🫩

Newbie watching first ever k drama - perfect crown.

I loved the series , like really loved the depth , aesthetics , characters , plot , funny dialogues and acting. But the way the last few episodes rushed to cover everything really made me sad for all the hardwork and perfection gone to waste. There were so many moments , so many dialogues that were so in depth that I haven’t seen in many movies. The music was so amazing . Then I Came across the severe backlash faced by lead actors who had to literally apologise on their Instagram. I was shocked

I have never seen any Hollywood actors apologise like this over a trivial tv series ( then again I may not know ). It broke my heart since the actors really put in everything on screen and this being my first ever k series , i was so invested in the series.

My question is does this normally happen in k world ? Do they generally ruin series like this ? Or is this rare ? And do actors face such pressure from citizens all the time , that they have to apologise for not being at top of their game if critiqued for their performance somewhere along the way ?

Does anyone else feel like IU doesn't really have this rich chaebol aura?

First, I am ready for downvotes 😊Imagine if IU accepted Queen of Tears(she didn't), could she be able to pull off Hong Hae In's vibe? Y'all know she was the first choice for QOT.

I know perfect crown is finished and yes , technically Hui ju is a self-made CEO, so I know that she's not coming from traditional old money.Even looking back at Hotel Del Luna, where she played Jang Man wol & literally wore some of the most insane outfits in Kdrama history. But I just never felt like she naturally carries that heavy chaebol aura.

That's why I feel like if she accepted QOT it would have felt like a miscast 😒

I finished Twenty Five Twenty One and I am not ok…

HELP. I finished Twenty Five Twenty One and it absolutely destroyed me😭

I put this drama on because I have the fattest hugest crush on Nam Joohyuk and I WASNT EXPECTING THAT😭 I had no idea about the plot and as the episodes went on I just thought it was a happy romantic drama🥰 how wrong was I🤣
Everything was so perfect, from the songs, the cinematography, the characters and let’s not talk about the chemistry between Yi-Jin and Hee-do. Omg I am not ok, how can I move on?!?!!!! Why couldn’t they get their happy ending!! At least Yu-rim and Jiwoong had theirs…
I can’t get over how Joohyuk acted with his eyes…PLEASEEEE THE WAY YIJIN LOOKED AT HEEDO😭😭 I’m convinced they were each other’s love of their lives I don’t care😭

Maybe if Yijin had gone to a therapist in New York they could’ve worked things out? Idk… Yu-rim went to Russia and she ended up marrying Jiwoong…🥲 but I guess it’s just life…
I hate the right person wrong time trope now😔

Am l the only one who hates it when fl hides it that she has a baby?

Am l the only one who absolutely hates it when the female lead hides the fact that she has a child from the male lead? I’m all for it if the relationship is toxic or abusive and she does it to protect the child but that usually isn’t the case.

It honestly just feels so selfish and stupid. The most popular reason for this is they break up and the female doesn’t want to inconvenience the male lead. You literally let your child grow up without a dad because you didn’t want to bother your ex? Are we serious right now?

The worst part is that the male lead didn’t even get to see his kids grow up. Also imagine you grow up realize that you could’ve grown up with a dad but your mom didn’t tell him. You would feel like a burden, that the reason your mom didn’t tell your father was because she viewed you(the child) as a burden and she as the martyr will be the one to bear the burden of protecting her love(the father) from having to carry such a burden(you).

Don’t get me wrong l like the idea of it but not the execution. For example, the female lead will vaguely ask the ml if he wants kids, the ml responds no and the female runs away with her child. I feel like as a parent you should atleast try to let your kid grow up without a father. That includes telling the father that you’re pregnant. It doesn’t matter if he says he doesn’t want kids, the fact is there is one. Literally it pisses me off because who are you to decide that for both of the( father and son).

A better execution of this would be: fl and ml are in a romantic relationship. Both are young and aren’t really looking for a serious relationship. Maybe the male lead has committment issues and the female lead has a fear of abandonment. The relationship thrives because there is no responsibility. They’re young and in love. However female lead finds out she’s pregnant, is terrified(rightfully so) but still manages to find the strength to tell the ml. This is extremely hard for her because of her fear of abandonment( family issues) but the thought of her child feeling abandoned by their father is enough to steel her. She tells him. He freaks out, doesn’t respond well and is terrified. He’s not cruel or dismissive but he still denies their child. Like “how am l supposed to take care of child?” “are you sure it’s mine?”. Because of her fear of abandonment this trigger female lead, she doesn’t want her child to grow up feeling unwanted. They break up, female lead drops out of school ( or transfers, or maybe even takes a year off. don’t understand why they have to drop out)goes no contact and decides to raise her child herself. Male lead comes to term with the fact that he has a child and reluctantly decides to be there, however he is too late. Female lead has already left. He feel guilty but Also relieved.

Years pass and they meet again. Both more mature and the story goes on.

Hating the mom from Something in the Rain

Can’t just be me right? About halfway through the series and she is getting on my nerves. She is so judgmental. But while I hate her I wonder how much is cultural difference. She is super obsessed about status and claims it is all for her kids (who hates it). Hypercritical. If she had the money she’d be the type to pay the SO off to leave her kid alone. I hope she redeems herself by the end. Everyone in her family seems like they have to just tolerate her

To Anyone Feeling Exhausted by Recent Dramas and Toxic Subreddit Debates: Read This.

(Image: 1.Hometown cha cha cha; 2.When the weather is fine; 3 and 4.Summer strike.)

Hey everyone,

I’ve noticed a lot of frustration, toxic debating, and exhaustion in the community lately. Between the intense fan wars, extreme hate, and constant second-guessing, it feels like some of us are forgetting how to actually *enjoy* watching dramas.😘😚😋

If you're feeling drained, let’s go back to the basics. Here is a quick guide on how to protect your mental peace, protect your time, and navigate K-dramas like a pro.

### 1. Do Your Own Pre-Watch Homework (Stop Asking Reddit First!)

Before you dive into a new show, do a quick solo checkpoint.

* **Google the basics:** Check the plot summary and the overall vibe.

* **Check your deal-breakers:** If you are sensitive to certain triggers, hate unnecessary love triangles, or absolutely refuse to watch a devastatingly sad ending, use an AI tool or look up a spoiler-free trigger guide to deep-dive first.

* **The Golden Rule:** Once you've done your research, **don't** go on Reddit just to ask, *"Is this worth watching?"* Taste is entirely subjective. You’ve already done your research..

trust your own judgment and just press play!

### 2. The Sacred "3-Episode Rule"

We’ve all been there: you put on Episode 1 and think, *“Wth is even going on?”* It feels slow, boring, or confusing. That’s normal..world-building takes time.

* Give a drama exactly **3 episodes**.

* If you hit the end of episode 3 and you're still not feeling it, **drop it immediately and feel zero guilt.**

* It doesn’t matter if the entire subreddit is calling it a "10/10 masterpiece." If it doesn't click for you, your time is too valuable to force it. *Then* you can come to Reddit to see why others liked it, or simply move on to the next one.

### 3. Chill Out Over the Actor Obsession & Hate.

Let’s be real for a second: gushing over an actor or actress is completely normal. Finding an actor annoying or not liking their performance is also completely normal.

* What *isn’t* healthy is getting dragged into toxic, multi-day comment section wars defending or attacking them.

* Don't overthink it, and don't take differences of opinion personally. At the end of the day, these actors don't know we exist. Your peace of mind is worth way more than a fan-war.

### 4. Remember the Ultimate Goal: It’s Just an Escape.

K-dramas are meant to be a temporary, fun escape from our real-world stress. They are entertainment. If a show is making you genuinely angry, anxious, or miserable, it has failed its primary job. Grab your remote, hit drop, and just enjoy the ride with a different show.

### A Few Extra Tips to Avoid Community Burnout:

* **Beware of the On-Air FOMO:**

If watching a drama weekly alongside the live threads is stressing you out because of wild theories or shipping wars, step away. Wait until the drama finishes airing and binge it at your own pace.

* **Normalize the "Palate Cleanser":**

If you’re experiencing total drama burnout where every script feels repetitive, take a clean break. Go watch a thriller, read a book, go for a run, or switch genres entirely. Your brain will thank you.

* **Master the Art of the Scroll-By:**

You don't have to show up to every argument you're invited to. If a thread looks toxic, close it. Curate your online space so it stays fun.🤗

Let’s keep this community a fun place to gush, critique constructively, and relax. Happy watching, everyone!😊🙂🙃

downbadism final boss Cha Segye

I am watching this show and enjoying it so much! The casting is perfect, the humour is on point, I am gushing at the leads and cursing at the villain - so the acting is good, the writing is chef's kiss.

I have watched some good dramas recently but this just seems to have some X factor. Cannot wait for the new episode to drop tomorrow!

Easter eggs : my royal nemesis

1- Why did the truck stop near the ml out of nowhere during the flower fight ? It was a congratulatory flower wreath for chairman cha dal-su aka his grandpa. Ml had ordered it for the birthday dinner to wish his grandpa

2-opening scene showed unexpected frost when the fl was poisoned and dying. The fl does not die but time travels into 2026 and she possesses the body of seori the actress - whose name in korean means frost.

3- there was a preview to fl s future outfits - it was all hung in her room in order on the day she arrived

4- fl is seen with a calender on her table while writing letter for ml. When ml gets the letter it is written on a piece of calendar and the letter envelope was originally the envelope of her paycheck.

5- she avoids heels or use modifications to her footwears. Always covers her leg when in public like joseon times.

6- the payment notification on his phone is in the order of her eating spree and also is in continuation after the payment notification for gas station from where she got his credit card.

7- her hanbok was historically accurate in the past version but wrong in present time version. Red skirt was not used after marriage in the past but actress in dramas uses them because they are pretty.

Edit 8 - the person who made her viral meme from the filming set is the college student who explained to her about history in the museum. The name is mentioned in the youtube handle of the meme.

Comedy Rec - The WonderFools on Netflix!!

Has been really long since I felt like making a post for a Kdrama. But man, WonderFools deserves it!!

I am only 4 episodes in but It's fun, humorous and is constantly hitting you with slapstick comedy! It sort of succeeded where 'Cashero' failed.

The entire cast is just amazing, especially the FL - very dynamic acting! And for a surprise, I am seeing variety of expressions from cha eun woo! He is also serving really good visuals in white tank tops, and cigarettes ( although I am finding it morally debatable considering his tax scandal 😭).

Overall, I feel it's worth giving a short!! Hopefully it ends well too!

IU’s self written song that seems like it was written yesterday

Still me, still me, no need to be surprised
I’m sure you’re gonna say “My gosh!”
Your eyes getting busy, check-checking
Like playing spot the difference, oh hashtagging

''She’s walking so straight, she might trip and fall
Wonder if she knows everyone’s whispering about her
I think she’s hanging out with that person everyone’s talking about
She has problems''

It's me, it's me nothing different
What are they gossiping about me these days?
The searching light scanner, scanner
What's my score today? Jealous, jealous

Why does she like that kind of outfit?
What’s that blank face she’s making?
Maybe it's because of stress?
I'm worried about her''

we don’t owe, owe, owe, owe
(Anything)

Yes! This song was written 7 years ago, but the lyrics are relevant even today. It’s funny some of these comments are EXACTLY SAME stuff I have heard people criticising during and after her latest drama Perfect Crown… see the resemblance?

For those who know her as an actress IU, lemme introduce you to idol IU, who regularly pens lyrics to point out celebrity societal expectations, pressure to look perfect all the time, constant stalking, gossip, etc. Tbh these song lyrics are what made me her fan as an idol. Also love the shot of her exhaustedly reading the newspaper like still me? Still obsessed with me??

And for those who havnt heard this masterpiece yet!
The song name is IU Bbibbi. IU Celebrity is another recommended song!
