It’s a wrap! LA

So i’m visiting LA at the minute and took a trip to it’s a wrap store as i know a lot of costumes and props from the show were sent here, and I found the dollhouse and phoebe’s superhero costume! Both are just for display and not for sale sadly but so cool to see!

I now feel at peace with no charmed reunion

So i just saw practical magic 2 in the cinema and was so excited for this as I loveeee the original and it also kind of has some close ties to charmed being sisters who are witches, the victorian manor etc (Shannen and Holly also both stated they were heavily inspired by the movie).
Overall the movie was cute however some parts felt extremely cheesy and i don’t know how else to explain it apart from it had a very ‘nexflix movie’ feel to it. The nexflix feel is fine, however it just doesn’t mesh well with the nostalgia we all feel to these 90’s/early 2000’s shows and movies, at least for me anyways. Every scene with Gilly Sally and the aunts was great btw but just some other parts of the movie felt a bit off to me but i wont give any spoilers away.
But the main takeaway I left the cinema with was that I’m actually now ok with there being no continuation of the halliwell sisters. Since it ended in 2006 i have wished SO badly for any sort of continuation but the 8 seasons to me are perfect and if they were to ever make a reboot or some nexflix mini series like what was planned and it got a very 2026 netflix wash-over, i dont think id ever recover from the disappointment. It seems like noone is able to recreate the whimsy magic of 90’s witches correctly, hocus pocus 2 being another example. The halliwell sisters for me will remain in the 90s/early 2000’s time capsule where they belong! That being said, a prequel of grams and patty in the 70’s with a cameo from one or three of the girls time travelling back would be iconic!
Did anyone else manage to see PM2 yet and have any thoughts?

My partner is frustrated by my job

Hey everyone,
Me and my partner have been having issues since i started my job as a NQN last November because he feels like chores around the house are not equal. Im working on an emergency stroke unit thats extremely busy all the time, and its been really challenging at times but overall i think ive coped quite well with transition from student to qualified. He works a normal office job, has 2 WFH days a week and whenever ive been working a 12 hour shift he always makes food for us by the time i get home which im extremely grateful for.
However, i feel like its the classic situation of he has never worked in healthcare so he just doesnt understand the impact it has on you. On my day off after working a block of shifts, there are times when i wake up the morning and maybe dont want to do anything apart from sit on the sofa and watch TV to unwind until 1/2pm. If hes working from home, he gets really frustrated with me having these lazy moments and says things like “you still have to get things done on your day off”.
I feel like I do my fair share of chores around the house. There is rarely a day off that im not cleaning, doing laundry, grocery shopping and on my days off I always make the effort to cook for us both as hes the one doing it when i work. It’s just that i need to do it at my own pace and not right away as soon as I wake up.
Im starting to loose my mind a little bit with the situation because its been this way now for nearly a year and i feel like he’s been super harsh with me even saying things like “I shouldnt have to suffer for the career you chose”. And times when ive needed to vent about a stressful day his response is “i dont know why you would choose this career”. I would understand if i was expecting him to do everything all the time even when im not working, but i genuinely feel like I’m doing alot around the house on days off but he seems to disagree or maybe im just not doing it quick enough for him. Has anyone else had similar situations with partners that have never worked in healthcare and don’t understand you need time on your days off to unwind and decompress?
