~$300 Projector, best recommendations? (US)
My wife and I just got our first apartment together and are in the market for an affordable projector for our room. We already have a large TV in our living room; our intention was to have something sitting above our bed to project on the wall in front of us (throw is ~11ft and screen/wall size is ~6ft wide), and maybe portable enough to move around our apartment main room or possibly outside our apartment for campouts or while traveling with friends. Streaming features are nice, but I think a little more of its time will be spent plugged into my laptop to play movies or so we can play games together in bed (so low latency is kinda important).
Years ago I got a Viewsonic M1 Mini. It wasn't terrible, but I wasn't really impressed. I would travel a lot and it was convenient as a power bank and to show quick things on the go, so for my purposes at the time it got the job done. Now that we're settling down a bit, I wanted to upgrade to something a little more permanent.
From the research I've been doing on this sub, videos covering different projectors, and speaking with some that friends have, the two that have caught my eye the most are the WEMAX VP04 and the NexiGo PJ40 Pro. My friend demo'd the WEMAX for me and it seems nice. I love how portable and quiet it is. Some youtube reviews pointed out the NexiGo having better color and brightness, but it seems to have a much louder fan and isn't quite as portable.
I'm curious to know which of these two yall would recommend if you've used them, but I'm not married to the idea of either of these two projectors. If there's a better option out there or others I should look into, please let me know! I want to find the best value for what we're looking for.
