Questions about Ep 4
Is it clear whether or not the hospital scene is before or after the wedding? I assumed before and it made me ask some questions. We see Ruben allegedly SA Nial in the hospital but immediately after it appears the two almost make up? What could have happened between that "make up" scene and the wedding? The only thing I could think of is Nial's book being published.HOWEVER, don't Nial and Ruben seem to think the area they live in knows all the details about what happened between them before Nial's book?? Outside of their geographical area no one would know who they were unless Nial named names. Which IMO is not Nial's style, he's too afraid. So what's the trigger in Ruben attacking Nial on his wedding day?? I buy into the whole "we're caught between Nial's reality VS his delusions" theory. Now, Nial DOES have his Father's knife and many predicted he would kill Ruben with this knife, but doesn't that feel too easy almost?? Long story short: 2 boys have CPTSD due to their upbringings because just look at their Mums and Dad's and untold traumas in the story yet, the boys are opposites on the surface and their conflicting personas wind up with one of them being killed. Is that really it?!? Someone one help me here!
