Customer Gave Me a Pink Hammer

She saw my tool bag and offered it to me! Apparently it "doesn't match" her husband's blue kobalt tool box lol.

Witches Brew jump scare in Dollar Tree

I drive all over the place for work and I stopped in a dollar tree in a random town. This was right next to the beauty section, not even near the other energy drinks. They were only $2.50. I've never even seen witches brew irl I'm still in shock. I know I'm dramatic but I'm so excited to try it.

Edit: ngl I don't really like it 😭 oh well more for y'all

What takes you out of a story?

I was just reading a story in which a character is struggling to carry 17 pounds. They emphasize how heavy 17 pounds is and then a guy picks it up for them and they're like "oh my gosh big strong man". Maybe it's because I lift and I'm familiar with what 15-20 pounds feels like, but I know a grown adult can lift 17 pounds. Idk if it was meant to be a joke or if the author thought 17 pounds was a particularly heavy number.

Chemical Sunscreen Recs?

Mineral sunscreens always leave a white cast (and I am a very pale white girl, so you know it's bad) I got this Neutrogena sunscreen for my face and all of a sudden I'm breaking out. I stopped using it and skin is improving so I know it was the sunscreen. Any recommendations for chemical sunscreen that won't break me out? I have dry skin by the way.

The Lettuce Virus

Everyone's been talking about the recall of contaminated lettuce. I looked up the symptoms and honestly I wouldn't even know if I got sick from the lettuce, or just an average day with fibro. Edit: alright I guess I would 😭

What do y'all eat for lunch?

Especially y'all on the road. Not having a fridge or microwave on the truck makes it hard. I usually buy something cheap. (Sheetz has 2 for $1 hot dogs) But I've recently decided to start making my lunches so I can start spending my lunch money on little treats and energy drinks. (As any girlie would)

Gentle face wash for dry skin?

Need recommendations. I've been using anti-dandruff shampoo as a face wash for a while now, and it's been great for my acne, but now my face stings after I use it and the Internet says I've damaged my skin barrier 🥺

Anyone Wish Your Company Was Run By Women?

Our usual supply store has been having issues with my company getting back to them and receiving payment, so when I get to the check out I call my manager to try a figure out how we can address this issue so things go more smoothly for everyone. (I've had the office call me about restocking my truck "improperly" so I'm just trying to do it right) My manager says "I don't care they don't pay my bills" which obviously upsets the guys at the supply store and now I'm in the middle of a dispute. (It was really stressful I started crying, they guys at the supply store were really nice to me tho)

I just hate how men are so quick to fight other men for no reason. I feel like if this was a dispute between women the issue would've been handled way better. Anyone else feel this way?

Vanilla Smelling Like Play-Doh?

I've noticed this mostly with dollar tree products but lately vanilla scented things are starting to smell like playdough. I had to throw out the vanilla body scrub I got because it was so bad. I recently got the marshmallow body butter and it smells heavily of playdough. (While not being explicitly vanilla scented, marshmallow scents are going to have a significant amount of vanilla fragrance.) I used to use the eos vanilla cashmere religiously, but now it smells like play dough! Has anyone else noticed this? Is something going on with the vanilla supply chain?

Review of these lip balms

It's really hard to control how much of the product comes out so most of the time I end up with a bunch smeared all over my lips. It's really not very hydrating. The scent/flavor is really nice I guess, but will not repurchase.

EOS Dupes any good?

I've only seen the occasional purple one at my local dollar trees. Are these actually comparable to eos?

Sunscreen Recommendations?

Anyone's go to sunscreen from dollar tree? I'm looking for a new sunscreen for my face and I like to try dollar tree dupes before investing in a name brand product.

Advice For Women Dealing With Imposter Syndrome

I don't remember where I heard it, but ask yourself: "Am I a failure of a woman, or am I an average man?"

This has helped me a lot. When I'm struggling with something I think "would a man put so much effort into this? Would a man handle this situation better?" I know lots of kind, hard working men, but usually the answer to these questions is no.
